~Salute to the Defenders~
When our world was filled with strife
You set an example by your life
You showed pride and love for this nation
Reporting for duty without hesitation
You showed no sign of fear
Because you held freedom so dear
With many other brave men, you took a stand
You were so eager to defend our land
That war was a long hard fight
But we know that you were right
We are filled with so much pride
That for this nation you bled and died
Now our time has come around
We must drive evil to the ground
We must be united in faith and love
Trusting in our wonderful Father above
We hope that you will be proud
As you watch from above a cloud
And see your children take a stand
Giving their lives to defend this great land
