~A Thanksgiving Prayer~

The Spiritual Forces on the Earth are:
the People, our Mother Earth, the Waters, the Fish, the Grasses,
the Plants, our Sustenance, the Animals,
the Trees, and the Birds.

-Lyrics to This Midi-

-Verse 1-
A special melody
Coming now to me,
With praises sweet as can be.
He fills my heart with a song,
Ever fresh and new each day.

-Verse 2-
A message written down
Deep within my heart
One that will ever be told
I want to see-- His sweet face,
His redeeming love and grace.

-Chorus-
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with a song,
A song that lasts the whole day long.
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with a song,
A song that lasts the whole day long.

-Verse 3-
One day the gates of Heav'n
Will be open there,
When we will meet in the air.
O, holy, holy to His name,
He will ever be the same.

-Chorus-
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with a song,
A song that lasts the whole day long.
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with a song,
A song that lasts the whole day long.

-Chorus 2-
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with a song,
A song that lasts the whole day long.
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with a song,
A song that lasts the whole day long.
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with your song,
A song that lasts my whole life long.
Jesus, Jesus, you fill my heart with your song,
A song that lasts my whole life long.
A song that lasts my whole life long.

Pilgrim Edward Winslow described the
Pilgrims' Thanksgiving in these words:

"Our harvest being gotten in, our Governor sent four men on fowling [bird hunting] so that we might, after a special manner, rejoice together after we had gathered the fruit of our labors. They four in one day killed as much fowl as... served the company almost a week... Many of the Indians [came] amongst us and... their greatest King, Massasoit, with some ninety men, whom for three days we entertained and feasted; and they went out and killed five deer, which they brought... And although it be not always so plentiful as it was at this time with us,
yet BY THE GOODNESS OF GOD WE ARE... FAR FROM WANT."

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanking God for Him, The Native Americans,
Pilgrims, and Our Country!
