Revelation 7:9-10 (NIV) 9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."

Wednesday Lenten Worship Lent begins on Wednesday, March 9. We will be having mid week Lenten services as we have in the past. We meet in the fellowship hall for a meal at 6:00 p.m. Beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m. we will have our Lenten service around the tables. If you do not wish to join us for the meal we invite you to join us for the service at 6:30 p.m. Our theme of this year's Lenten services will be "Jesus said, "I am ..." The service this week will be set around Jesus' words "I am the good shepherd". The Newsletter Committee will be serving chicken tortilla soup, french bread, salad, and home made deserts. |
Mid Week Bible Class Our mid week Bible class will not be meeting during the season of Lent. It will resume on Wednesday, May 4 at 10:00 a.m. The study guides for the text of the next Sunday will be available on the table in the narthex for those who wish to use them on their own. |

April 9 - Clean Up Day We will have a church clean up don on Saturday, April 9 to get ready for the Easter week. We need help to mow and clean up the grounds. Mowers, trimmers, various tools to work ( case of some repair that needs to be done) and lots and lots of able bodies. We need the ladies to clean the inside of the church while the men are on the outside. A sandwich lunch will be provided. Please mark your calendar now to come and participant! |
Red Cross Fund Raiser The American Red Cross is sponsoring a BBQ on March 31 and April 1, 2011. The location is the Brookshire's parking lot at 28th and Hazel. You can purchase your tickets there. Prices are Ribs - $10, Chicken - $8. Dinner comes with sides. 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. |

Goldberger Scholarship - The
Goldberger family have set up scholarship fund at Concordia Seminary in
St. Louis. The seminarian that is be helped this year is James Garnett.
A note of appreciation has been posted on the bulletin board along a picture
of James and his wife Ellen. |

Cell Phones - Please turn your cell phones off during the worship service unless they are for emergency services. They especially need to be turned off in the choir loft. They can cause crackling in the sound system.
Reformation Information - Concordia Publishing House has put a web site that gives you information on Reformation resources, you can read selections from Luther's writings, even take a tour of Luther sites. Go to reformation.cph.org.
Building Fund Envelopes - Using your building fund envelopes helps the church stretch its budget.

Neighbor to Neighbor - Lets keep the dry beans coming.
Portals of Prayer - You can pick up copies of Portals of Prayer from the table in the narthex. Also on that table are copies of Clearly Caring. Please feel free to pick up copies for you and friend.
