Isn't the internet the greatest thing? Back in 1987 when I first began to study Wicca, not only was the written material limited, but the places to obtain it were even more restricted. I remember driving with my friend for 2 hours just to find a store to get books, incense, crystals, and herbs. And this was in Chicago! Now with the internet, you can get all the information and products you could want or need and then some. Perhaps one of the best things though, is that we get to meet one another and share our knowledge and experiences, and we can find someone to answer our questions.
Some people would call us "eclectic", while others might call us "Betty Crocker Witches". Since I am of Cherokee and Irish descent I have combined the Native American Spirituality with Wicca. I have chosen to follow the advice of Albert Einstein in doing this: "Keep it simple, but not too simple". We live by the Wiccan Rede of "So Long As It Harm None" and the Native American Ten Commandments
In 1992 my husband and I came to Arkansas to do some crystal mining and fell in love with the state. We moved here that same year. This was the fulfillment of a dream to return to the mountains that I had had since my father moved us from the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. This is a beautiful state where nature can still be found in its primitive state. We live in the valley between the Ozark Mountains and the Ouachita Mountains. The area is rural and our town has a population of 356. We are located just at the foot of Mount Magazine.
I own and operate a small shop where I sell the handmade soaps, lotions, and creams that I make. I also sell incense, oils, herbs, spell kits, candles, and other items that every witch needs. Everything that I make is done according to the old ways using the correct planetary and moon configurations.
