10th Annual READ Haunted House
There are not enough words to express our gratitude to the sponsors and every worker at the 10th Annual READ Haunted House 2008. It was incredible! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We had more "victims", aka customers, than ever before. We had a record number of sponsors that supported the fundraiser financially or with goods for door prizes or haunted house props. Our volunteer team of monsters worked themselves to "death" putting on a horrid show. With 10,000 sq. feet of haunted house on three levels, there was a lot of "scaring for literacy" happening each of the eight nights we were open.

The literacy council (d.b.a. READ Program) offers many educational services at no charge. Our services range from basic literacy for adults to peer-tutoring for children; English as a second Language (ESL) to Learning Differences screening.
Please look around our web site. Email or call us with comments or questions about the site or our program.
By looking at this web site (even if you get here by accident) maybe something will spark your interest. While we are located in Arkansas, there is probably a literacy program in your area. Look them up! No matter what capacity you choose to work in, literacy is a very worthy and rewarding volunteer cause to be involved with.
