NRA v. 2nd Amendment
"Although the U.N. cannot unilaterally impose its will upon Americans,
another more subtle danger lurks. If the U.N. should come to a consensus
on its anti-gun agenda, there's always a chance that its anti-gun policies
could become part of an international treaty. If that happened, then
ratification by the U.S. Senate is all it would take for the treaty's
provisions to become domestic law."
Mr. Heston is proposing that the U.N. can amend our Constitution utilizing a treaty
and the U.S. Senate. Treaties, Public Laws, Bills, Resolutions or court decisions,
although having the appearance of law, have no effect on our Constitutional Rights.
And certainly no effect on those unalienable rights cited in the Declaration of
Independence. Please urge everyone you know to contact the NRA and ask for an
explanation of Mr. Heston's statement.
