Tillek Hold - Selchin and Regex's Quarters
You stand in a large room on the east side of the inner hold. The door to the hallway is in the west wall, and the doorway to the sleeping chamber in the north wall. There is a cheery fire in the fireplace in the south wall. The heavy metal shutters in the large bay window in the east wall are closed, protecting the room from the elements. It is comfortably furnished - a thick carpet on the stone floor, a rocker and armchair, a bentwood love seat, a small table, and a desk.

Rose
Deep blue eyes look out of this rounded little face, the picture of innocence should she want to appear so. Her little snub nose seems usually turned upright, giving this child a mischievous if not haughty air that often comes with being the youngest child. A sprinkling of freckles cross over that nose and onto her lightly tanned cheeks, which unless she's been cornered by a nanny or her mother recently, are probably streaked with dirt. Straight almost white-blond hair hangs to just past her neck, whisps often flicking around in disarray with the ends slightly curling under. She is 3 Turns, 0 months, and 20 days old.

A once lightly coloured shift is now not so lightly coloured in places, showing signs that this child has probably been outside exploring again probably not here she should have been. A knot sits on her shoulder, which shows to be from Tillek hold. It has been tied on more tightly than usual, obviously to ensure that it is not lost in the child's expeditions.

Rose clutches her little boat to her, you know, the one that her dear father made for her recent turnday.... and quietly sneaks out.

You step through the doorway into the holder's apartments.

Tillek Hold, Third Floor Hallway
This high-ceilinged hallway is a reflection of the one below. It is vaguely octagonal in shape, with tall, arched doorways leading in different directions. The wide grey flagstones of the floor are worn from years of tread, but lie bare of carpeting, as life this near the water is often wet and muddy. The area is saved from being drab by the cushions of rich Tillek blue on the benches that stand between the doorways. Niches in the stone walls above the seats hold the creative works of past crafters and residents, many of these artifacts reflecting an impression of life near the sea.A wide stone stairway at the south end of the hall leads down to the second floor of the hold. A shorter stairway leads northwest to the Inner Hold, where guest suites are kept prepared and family and staff have quarters. The arched doorway to the dormitory, a cozy room where people sometimes gather in the evenings, is open in the southwest wall and a cheery fire is most always lit, to welcome visitors. Hallways in which hold residents and crafters keep apartments stretch to the west and east, respectively, each accessible by a short stairway. If you 'look' down each hall, a small brass plate with etched names will inform you of the room's occupants.Obvious exits:Stairs Down Inner Hold Residents' Hall Crafters' Hall Dormitory

Rose steps carefully down the stairs, one foot catching the other before she proceeds to the next step. Clutching a little toy boat tightly to her, she pauses as she notices Caylee. "You come see the big boats? Nanny not looking." Little head shakes seriously, as she considers taking someone else to see her most favourite things in the whole wide world.

Caylee must be in disgrace. She sits with her bony little legs hugged up to her body, chin resting against knobbly knees, with a _very_ sad looking expression on her little round face. Her eyes lift to look at Rose as she comes down the stairs, dark lashes and a long scruffy fringe almost obscuring them from view. "She's not lookin' cause I did kick her." She tells Rose, sticking her chin out defiantly, "I come to see them." Getting to her feet, the little girl peers around the corner into the room her mother and nanny are in, then points down the stairs. "You gotsta run or she see you."

Rose oooohs and nods again, releasing one hand from her precious boat and pressing one finger to her lips "Shhhhhh. No let them see us then.. C'mon." and she's off, down the stairs as quitely as a three turn old can be. You be happy faces at the boats." she says as she continues "C'mon!"

Caylee heads down the stairs to the lower level of the hold.

Tillek Hold, Central Hall
This high-ceilinged, octagonal room is the main entrance hall of the hold, a crossroads for hold traffic. Tall, arched doorways of grey stone lead in all directions and tapestries which depict various moods of the sea, hang between them. Below those exquisite works, cushioned stone benches provide residents with a place to pause and catch up on the latest news.To the south, wide stone stairs lead up to the residential areas of the hold. A long hallway curves east, towards the passages of the lower hold and the docks, from whence, occasionally, a whisper of waves may be heard. Double doors to the north, generally propped open during fine weather, lead out into the courtyard and to the west, stand the old, intricately carved wooden doors of the Great Hall. You notice that some of the doors in the hold have small rounded openings in them, fairly high up. Their function eludes you, until you see a firelizard perched in one, watching the goings-on around him.

"What's dat?" Caylee asks as she takes the first few steps, pointing at the boat Rose is clutching in her hands. "My da's gotta boat. S'a big one. I did go on it lots an' lots an ' *lots* of times!" She splays her arms wide as she can possibly manage, a bright beaming smile spreading across her lips, "But you didn't. Only me. Only /me/ can go on it." Curly-topped head gives a nod, and she marches through the hall, slipping easily past peoples legs and feet. "C'mon Rose!"

"Dat's mine boat. My da maded it for me. Now there's four Rose boats." This most impressive of facts is rather important to Rose. She blinks and shakes her head "My Da did got more than one big boat. I go there lot and lots and lots." Not that she's supposed to, but she does. Following the other girl however, they continue on their way. "You show me your Da's boat?"

Caylee turns sharply on her heel to look at Rose and her boat. "Share." She demands, sticking her chin in the air and thrusting a hand out as if to snatch away the other girl's precious toy, "My da says to 'SHARE Cay-leeeee' so you gotsta share too Rose!" Curls flop straight into her eyes as she makes this demand, and she blows a puff of air up in an effect to brush them away. "Mine da has a biggerest boat than your da. I show you."

Rose stops still, out of reach of the selfish and bossy older girl. "No. My Da said that this is pecial.. I have to be careful with 'dis one. Not 'lowed to let evyone be touching. He did worked hard to maked it just for me." She thinks then, carefully for something else that she can share. "We should go to where they have the more big boats, where your Da's boat is. My Da said that Mas'er Jacob be's the nicest man. I want to see him."

Caylee stomps her foot on the ground, hands flying to her hips as she leans forwards, little black brows knitting together into a deep scowl. "Rose yer th-meanest girl ever!" She starts - and then, after the explanation of why she can't share the precious boat - falls back a step, head tilted so that her chin rubs against her chest, shyly. "One o' my das' did give this to me." Holding one arm out, she gives her wrist a little shake, and the silvery chain there glitters and shimmers in the glowlight. "See? I's not 'lowed to share either. So now we go see the big boats?" And just like that, she's back to smiling, and tromping down the hall, "My da says Mas'sa Jac drinks a lot at that place called Big Hulk!"

"My da not say that." Rose comments as she follows obediently. "He did just say that he did be nice. We go to the Big Hulk then, alright? We do go and finded him all by ourselves, and see LOTS of big boats. " She ooohs delightedly at the jingly, jangly bracelet. "Tha's pretty."

You head out into the courtyard.

Tillek Hold, Courtyard
The Tillek Hold courtyard is a broad plaza of grey stone, but its atmosphere is far from cold and unfriendly. Hold staff and residents cross the cobbles on business of their own, while others may choose to sit on the stone benches along the walls. Several small tables are grouped about a beautifully made fountain that burbles quietly in the southeast corner of the yard and offers sun or shade as preferred. High iron gates stand open to the north and admit the passage of traders, residents and visitors alike. Through them you can see the outer courtyard as it slopes away to the road beyond. (+view and 'places' available)To the south, stand the entrance doors to the hold. In warmer weather they are often propped open, but the thick and sturdy design keeps out even the coldest of sea breezes when the temperature drops.A door to the west leads to the kitchen, the top half being currently open. The northeast corner of the courtyard is occupied by a large, neatly kept stable. You see a small sign on the north wall, near the gate. (use +view sign to read it).

Tillek Hold, Outer Courtyard
Tillek's ramp is generally busy, people moving to and from the gates, or the cothold meadow. The smell of the sea is strong here, carried by a gentle breeze. As you look around, you can see Tillek's terraced farms, and stands of conifers. To your south are the gates of Tillek, and east of these a turret towers above you.To the southwest, down a short ramp, stretches the Hold's gather meadow, ringed by small family cotholds. The road up to Tillek stretches back east to the mainland, sloping downward slightly. To the west, a path climbs up the hill, branching to go around the Hold to the south, and up to the fireheights.

Path Between Tillek and the Seacraft Hall
The path widens here, where three ways meet. To the east the ramp is visible. A fairly level path curving around to the north runs around the hold, eventually reaching the beach. It is sheltered by conifers, and looks like a pleasant walk. Though travel here is easy going, the path south to the fireheights begins its upward climb, and looks as if it could be a bit steep. Tall pines all around this small cleared area provide shelter from the wind, and with a small bench to one side, this is a relaxing place to sit. SeaCraft Hall - Courtyard(#1492RJLa)High atop a jagged bluff on the southern shore of the Tillek Peninsula, the courtyard of Seacraft Hall looks out over the surface of the Western Sea. A low stone retaining wall follows the naturally curving edge of the steep rock face, providing a place to sit and gaze out over the water that stretches to the horizon. Ships dot the crystal blue expanse, sometimes with colored sails and hulls and sometimes with black shadows in front of a brilliant sunset. Blue and light grey flagstones have been carefully arranged to tile the stone deck with the form of an accurate compass complete with a brass arrow inlaid in the granite. Hot summer evening collects around you as a soft breeze ruffles your hair beneath the clear skies. A break in the northwest wall leads to a well-worn, curving path to Tillek Hold, and Seacraft's harbor is accessible to the southwest, down a path leading to the water and the shipyards. A twisty stone staircase leads southeast to the rowdy, rollicking Rusted Hulk, and the main hold lies due north at the tip of the compass's brass arrow.

Caylee comes in huffing and puffing, wiping one little hand across her brow, pushing sweat-slicked curls from her skin. "Well we is here." She announces, turning this way and that to survey the room. "Pee-eww!" A hand instantly flies to her nose, two fingers pinching her tiny snub of a nose delicately, "I hope dat Mas'ser Jac-man don't smell like this. Mine da don't smell." Pause, thoughtful, little brows drawn upwards, "Well, only when he fells into the water."

Rose lets go of her little boat with one hand and rests in on her hip. "My Da wouldn't have said that he was nice if he smellded /too/ bad." SHe turns slowly, peeking down under the ocassional table as she makes her way around the room. "He does have to be here somewhere. This does be where they said that he does live. Maybe he does live under a table." No sign of him under the ones that she's already checked, she stands and frowns. "Where he be then, Caylee.. I think he does be losted."

Caylee crouches down on her hands and knees, scuttling around to help in the search for the illusive Craftmaster. "I dun see him, Rose.." She whispers, letting out a squeak as one heavy-booted-sailor almost tramples on her. "If he did live un'er a table, then we'd see him." She stands and spins around in a full circle, spotting the stairs, "M-ay-be he does live up there? If he dun live here, then WE be losted."

Rose's bottom lip starts to quiver. "I dun want to be losted here. My foots do hurt, and I needs a drink, and my tummy does be making noises cause I is hungry. Maybe if we do be calling him, he might comed down if he be up there. Those stairs do look too scary . I is not going up them. You can go there Caylee."

"I is not going up there!" comes Caylee's horrified voice, dark-grey eyes going very, very, very large. "Whad if there be raft-monsta's up there?" Curly-topped head shaking, she retraces her steps back towards the door, bumping into a chair on her way. "Ouch." Pout, eyes tearing up, "We do be losted Rose an' Mas'ser Jac be not here." she glances around, then scrambles onto the chair, "M-ay-be if you did call VERY loud, he will comed down here?"

Rose takes a little 'kercheif from her pocket and hands it to Caylee as she walks across the room. "I is not going to call him. He be very big and he will be grumpy and might stamp on me. Then I'd be a squashed Rose and my da would be sad."
