Attitude Is What It Takes

Steve used to be a newspaper carrier. One day one of his customers brought him a piece of paper with the following written on it:

The longer I live the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts, it is more important than
the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than succuss
than what other people think or say or do. It is more important that appearance
giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company....a church....a home. The
remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace
for that day. We cannot change our past.... We cannot change the fact that people will
act in a certain way. We cannot change the evevitable. The only thing we can do is
play the one string we have, and that is our attitude...... I am convinced that life
is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you.
We are in charge of our attitudes!!!

He believes this whole heartedly. This, I believe, is what has given him the strength to get through each passing day. He has another favorite writing and it is the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the Serenity
to accept the things
I cannot change;
Courage to change
the things I can; and
Wisdom to know
the difference.

Last, but at very least, he reads the Bible! I hope that you can use these to give you the strength that you need to help you through your day. God Bless.
