Marc Davis Tribute Page

This is my page that I dedictate to a wonderful animator and person, Marc Davis. He in himself was a legend. Know best as one of Disney's "Nine Old Men", Mr. Davis died on January 12, 2000. He was best known for creating Wendy in Peter Pan, Cruella De Vil, Alice, Cinderella, Maleficent, and of course Tinker Bell just to name a few. Marc Davis joined Disney's team of artists in 1935 as assistant to animator Grim Natwick while working on Snow White. He went on to help in the animation of the Walt Disney Classic "Bambi", where Davis created the young deer himself. After the triumph of Bambi, Mr. Disney promoted Davis to an animator. Then after creating Cruellla Di Vil, Mr. Davis was promoted once again to Imagineer status. He went on to create such rides as the "Pirates of the Carribbean" and one of Disney's most famous rides, "It's a Small World". Marc Davis helped Walt Disney turn his dreams into reality . Davis' Drawings became living heros to the people that saw them. He will never be forgotten. (All Info Comes From the Summer 2000 Issue Of the Disney Magazine on page 69)
