Intermediate High Level

I love anything Victorian and after doing a tutorial on another site I just felt led to write this tutorial. I love the effect I received from that tutorial. I will be sharing it with you under the needs section. Hope you enjoy the tutorial and have fun like I did.


What you will need to do this tutorial:

Some knowledge of PSP tools

1. PSP 7
2. Dragonflys Sinedot II, Simple Plug In
Please go to this site to make your background lace you will be using at the very end. Deb thank you so very much for writing this tutorial it is wonderful with victorian things.

3. The tubes, graphic, and lace background I used
Download and unzip to a folder where you know where to locate it.

4. Download and unzip this directly into your PSP shapes folder.

5. Flaming Pear Silver. This is a free demo version. Click on the right site for you computer under Designer Sextet.

Let's Get Started

1. Click on the link above to make the background you will be using towards the last step. It is a great tutorial and has everything you need to make it.

MAKING THE TAG

1. Open 400x400 Transparent Image
2. Both styles please make solid color white.
3. Click on the Preset Shape Tool

SETTINGS:
Rounded Rectangle
Antilias Check Mark
Line Width doesn't matter you are making a solid shape

4. Working on the transparent image start at 15x15 and ending at 384x378. You should have a solid white rounded rectangle on your image
5. Go to Selections>Select All
6. Go to Selections>Float. You should have marching ants around your solid rectangle shape
7. Go to Selections>Modify>Contract type in 8 click OK
8. In your PSP tool bar click on the scissors to cut out the center or use the delete key on your keyboard
9. Go to Selections>Modify>Contract type in 25. Click OK
10. Flood fill the marching ants with solid white
11. Go to Selections>Modify>Contract type in 8. Click OK
12. Click on the scissors or the delete key on keyboard so you have another opening cut out
13. Go to Selections>Select All
14. Go to Selections>Float. You should have marching ants around the all the individual white frames
15. Go To Effects>Plug Ins>Flaming Pear Silver>

Settings:
Blur 40
Edges 75
Band 100
Dots 75
Checkers 0
Color 1 HTML Color #D6D4E5
Color 2 HTML Color #7B1229
Angle pointing straight up at like 12 on a clock
Glue Normal
Click OK

16. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Inner Bevel. Under your presets on top click on the little arrow and select Soft Edge. Click OK. Deselect
17. Go back to the Preset Shape Tool and select Heart 3. Settings Antilias checked. Line Width 10.
18. Make sure the bottom style box is set to null. The top to solid white.
19. Go to Layers>New Rastar>Click OK.
20. Start drawing from 65x65 to 339x334.
21. Click on the Deformation Tool. Pull the sides and top of heart right to the edges of the middle frame.
22. Go To Selections>Select All
23. Go To Selections>Float. You should have marching ants around the outside and inside of your heart.
24. Go to Effects>Plug Ins>Flaming Pear>Silver. Use the same settings click OK. Deselect
25. Click on the Magic Wand. Settings: Tolerance 0 Match Mode RGB Value Antialias has a check mark. Click the inside of your heart.
26. Go to Selections>Modify>Expand 2 click OK.
27. Go to Layers>New Rastar Layer click OK.
28. Click on the graphic to make it active. Go to Edit>Copy. Click on the working image go to Edit>Paste Into Selection.
29. Go to Layers>Arrange>Send To Bottom.
30. Go to Selections>Float
31. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Cut Out

Settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 3
Opacity 75
Blur 25
Color Black
Click OK

32. Repeat step 32 changing the Vertical and Horizontal to Minus -3 click OK. Deselect
33. In the Layer Palette click on the top layer to make it active.
34. Open the Corner Ding go to Edit>Copy
35. Click on the working image go to Edit>Paste>As A New Layer.
36. Go to Effects>Plugs Ins>Flaming Pear>Silver same settings as before. Click OK.
37. Go to Layers>Duplicate.
38. Go to Image>Mirror
39. Go to Layers>Duplicate. Go to Image>Flip.
40. Go to Layers>Duplicate. Go to Image>Mirror. All 4 corners should have their corner ding in place.
41. Open the Side Ding Font. Go to Edit>Copy.
42. Click on the working image. Go to Edit>Paste as a New Layer.
43. Go to Image>Rotate>Left 90 Click OK. Move this to the left side of the frame and between the two frames place it in the middle.
44. Go to Effects>Plug Ins>Flaming Pear>Silver. Use the same settings click OK.
45. Go to Layers>Duplicate. Go to Image>Mirror.
46. Repeat steps 41 & 42. Move this to the top between the two frames and center it.
47. Go to Effects>Plug Ins>Flaming Pear>Silver use the sames settings. Click OK.
48. Go to Layers>Duplicate. Go to Image>Flip. You might have to move it up a little to fit on the frame properly.
49. Open the Magnolia Tube. Go to Edit>Copy.
50. Click on the working image go to Edit>Paste>As A New Layer. Move the magnolias to where you like.
51. Open the Victorian Hat Tube. Go to Edit>Copy.
52. Click on the working image go to Edit>Paste>As A New Layer move your hat where you would like.
53. Open the Pearl Tube. Go to Edit>Copy.
54. Go to Edit>Paste>As A New Layer. Move it over the magnolias.
55. Go to Layers>Merge Visible.
56. Open the background you made or the one I provided in the zip file.
57. Go to your Working Image click on the Selection Tool Settings Rounded Rectangle Feather 0 Antialias check mark. Starting in the left hand corner of the first frame please draw a rounded rectangle around the whole frame. Making sure your marching ants are on top of the outside frame.
58. Go to Layers>New Rastar>Click OK.
59. In your top style box select the pattern section. Click to get your pop up box so you can pick the pattern we just brought up in psp. This will be the backing to your frame.
60. Once you have the pattern in the top style box click on the Flood Fill Tool and flood fill the ants.
61. Go to Layers>Arrange>Send To Bottom. Deselect.
62. You are finished except for resizing it.
63. Go to Layers>Merge>All Flatten.
64. Go to Image>Resize making sure pixels is checked make no side more than 300x300. Make sure the bottom to boxes are checked. Click OK.
65. Go to Effects>Sharpen>Sharpen.

You are done!
