In the Mirror

Looking into the mirror, what should I see? Someone else is looking back at me. We are exactly the same in every way, And yet as different as night and day. We have the same face, hair, and eyes I look into the mirror, as she begins to cry, She says she is trapped on the other side, And the distance is great, far and wide. She longs so deeply, to be set free, And the key to her freedom, belongs to me. I have been her jailer for many long years, I put her there, because of my fears. Condemned to the darkness and kept far away, Never to see the light of day. I did this to her, I must set her free, If only I knew where to find the key. She bids me, look deeply into my heart, This is where freedom must start. A long journey though it will be, For her to take rightful place here inside of me.
