THIS IS AN ORIGINAL AXL ROSE WEBSITE THAT WAS FIRST CREATED IN 1995!

Here is the story! Of course, I am making this brief. This is the story about where a true Axl Rose fan, like me, has been for many years now. I am attempting to update this site a little it by adding some video's - old & new - but, I prefer to leave it just like it always was for the most part. It serves it's own little place in history for future generations.

IN FACT, THIS MAY ACTUALLY BE THE VERY OLDEST AXL SITE REMAINING STILL ONLINE!

Today is October 18. 2008. I started this first Axl Rose website back in June, 1995. That has been OVER Wow, 13 years ago now. My first site was through Tripod. I did not have a clue what I was doing with my computer, and neither did most people back then! Most of us had never touched a computer. So, now, this is all history! That first site was indeed a masterpiece! It ended up growing & growing into an absolutely huge Axl site that was incredible. At one time, I had 150 pages. It continued to draw in at least 100,000 visits weekly even until a few years ago.

I see the original AMB - Axl Forum - is pretty much non-existent now.

MY NAME IS BETSY KENDRICK! I am from Macon, Georgia.

I am curious to know where many of you are now? What are you doing in your life? Do you still love Axl?

Back in "the day" of this site's popularity, there were many hardcore fans who loved starting trouble - probably out of jealousy & competition. LOL! It erupted into such serious problems including vicious attacks on myself, & people talking trashy aggression towards Axl Rose that I was told by the police to sign off back in 2000, & not come back to interact for a long time. So, I have only checked back a few times in the last few years without much interaction.

Let me explain further: looking back, I now realize that many girls & women who were Axl fans actually made themselves believe that "Axl belonged only to them!" That was a common feeling among female Axl Rose fans. I think many of the fans simply had a huge crush on him. In getting to know some of them back then, I found that many were from abusive families. That, in itself, caused thousands of women to feel like they could somehow identify with Axl in a very personal way. Many became very serious about wanting to meet Axl, & they believed they were his long lost true love! They honestly thought that all he needed was them in his life. Many females truly thought that one day they would meet Axl Rose & they hoped that it would be a forever relationship. They believed that they were that special woman Axl was searching for all of his life. This caused all of these fans to become "controlling" over someone they did not even know. And, that control issue caused much friction among fans. Girls were angry beyond belief. On the other hand, the guys who were huge Axl fans just wanted to meet him, and they hoped that somehow they would be his best friend. They, too, identified with Axl/GNR music in a very personal way. It was common for many members of a chat room back then to get in all out fights online. And, on forums, there was controversy beyond reason. The biggest fans always saw themselves as the loyal person who never spoke negatively about Axl Rose.

It all may sound weird now, but such is the nature of rock and roll, & it's biggest fans!

I do have to say that I met some of the greatest, most wonderful people & I enjoyed long friendships - with some of them to this day! And, I guess most of the people who were causing trouble & making threats back then are much older now? They probably have their own families & life to live. I hope there are still many GNR/AXL fans out there like myself? Looking back, I think many people allowed themselves to become obsessed with Axl Rose & his music. Finally, I was invited by Axl to come for Halloween weekend one year, and I assumed the fans would be happy to hear how cool Axl was, & hear how he was doing. But, instead, it erupted into a massive long months of internet attacks & some women planning to drive to my house & attack me, etc.. These threats finally became really scary. The volatile exchanges between so called friends & fans became ridiculoulsy nasty.

I do want to say hello & thank all of you fans who spent many long hours moderating the AMB board/forum! The AMB used to be a very popular forum for Axl fans, I never allowed anyone to talk negatively about Axl Rose. It was quite the gathering place. I received many emails through the years saying Axl was actually there talking to them in the forum.

TIME FLEW BY US ALL. THINGS HAVE CHANGED. Even the world has changed drastically. We are all older. Some GNR fans are now in their late 40's like me! Imagine that, huh?

So, if you are returning here to see what is going on, & if this site still exists - perhaps you will be happy to see it is still here! If you are new here - this site actually has a treasured history in time!

I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE - THERE NEVER WAS AND THERE NEVER WILL BE ANYONE QUITE LIKE AXL ROSE. His music helped generations express thoughts & feelings that we could not express without his music. His voice touched our emotions like no other. Axl's lyrics are set deep in our hearts.

AS FOR ME, BETSY? YES, I STILL ADORE AXL ROSE! I don't care how old we all are now, or what we look like - Axl will always remain the most talented musician in time!

DEAREST AXL - I WILL ALWAYS HOLD A MOST SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART FOR YOU!

I HAVE NEVER KNOWN EXACTLY HOW TO THANK YOU. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU IN A VERY SPECIAL WAY!
