If you`re a teen having trouble dealing with teachers, homework, and grades, try praying to Saint Albert for knowledge and guidance. He was the Saint of great intelligence, and would be a help to you.

Saint Albert the Great was born in Swabia, Germany in the year 1206. When Albert was young he noticed little things. Instead of reading books for knowledge, he studied nature.

The University of Paris called him the "Universal Doctor," the man who could teach everything. He was one of the founders of what we know as the "Scholastic system." Lectures and books weren`t efficient outlets for Albert`s fertile genius. For a short time he served as a personal theologian and canonist for Pope Alexander IV. Soon the Pope saw his talent and appointed him Bishop, but the next Pope, Urban IV, recognized that Albert was more valuable to the church as a research scholar and teacher of philosophy and theology, and permitted Albert to resign.
