If you said Birdland at Henley Beach Road, you are correct!! We had lunch at this place and I feel I will miss Birdland when I return home. Sweet memories of enjoying either the chicken yiros, whipped potato, or half roast chicken...oh dear talking about it makes me hungry! To find a halal eating place in Adelaide is quite a search, and through words of mouth, we got to know about Birdland and every oppurtunities we had (which are not many, but we make sure we make the opportunities!) we will 'pay' a visit to this place. Especially in July 2000, when we had the 'temporary' transportation! |

Swee Fong navigated us here, to this section of Victor Harbour. This spot is where whale watchers go to, especially in June/July because it is the period where the whales breed their young ones until they are strong enough to venture out to the open sea. Unfortunately, we did not get to see any whales, I have never seen one personally either. It would be an exciting experience for me to see whales in the wild. |

The Bluff is situated about 10 minutes by car from the Esplanade. At the top we can view the open sea and this kind of view never fail to mesmerise me. Before we climbed up the top, I remembered the lunch we had, at the foot of The Bluff, we had mee goreng!! The view at the top reminded me of Philips Island, Melbourne. I love the sea, and the waves that formed when the wind blows them. |
View Surrounding The Bluff
Hartini, me and Azwiza beginning (or is it ending? hehehe) the climb (up or down eh?) from The Bluff. The wind was exceptionally strong on that day and the sunshine was exceptionally great and so the pictures that we took, like this one, was of course exceptionally clear. Look at the background... living in Singapore, I would never be able to savour this kind of view At the left hand side of this picture, one can see the blue sea and on the right hand side, the green land. Simply beautiful.. |
