Still More of Adelaide.....

Bonding session
These are some photos taken in July 2000. We were lucky the times we went out galivanting together, the weather was great and the sun was up.
This year's winter was extremely cold for me, and I was sick due to prolonged coldness ( also I can't stand too cold weather). However, I was up and about and
my friends decided to go to various places to kill away the July break. It was an unexpected one, this July break, because I never planned to go to the places we visited or do the activities we did.
Life is unpredictable and I love it.
Here are: myself, Hartini, Azwiza, Swee Fong and Jenny, at my place. We had soto ayam, an authentic Malay dish and one of my favourite because it has 'begedil' or potato cutlets (which I love!!). This dish is eaten with rice cakes and chicken soup with shredded chicken and of course the potato cutlets. I think you can see the food at the foreground...is that your tummy grumbling? hah! |
Glenelg
Myself, Azwiza and Nora at Glenelg. Glenelg is one of the various tourist attractions in Adelaide, it is near the sea and there
are rows of shops and places to eat. I have not eaten in any of the restaurants there yet, (except McDonald's!) but I know the one I will go to when I get the chance! One can either go to Glenelg by tram, which can be seen at the background or go there
by bus. We went there by car. I must thank Azwiza, she piloted the car extremely well, terima kasih ya! She has inspired me to take
up driving license even more, and I still have not taken the theory test yet! Ooops..
The July break 2000, was a great one for me, and I really enjoyed myself. I believe when I leave Adelaide, I will miss the company of people that I had gotten to know. I know I will remember the good times
I had. . |

Azwiza and I, on the ferris wheel. The last time I took a ride in a ferris wheel
was when I was about 6 years old. During Royal Adelaide Festival in 1999, I did not get the chance to ride the ferris wheel at the show because the
line was too long. So when I saw this one again (I went here with my sister in June 99 when she visited me, but we did not take it then cos we did not have enough time), I really wanted to take a ride in it
and Azwiza took it with me. I had a nice time. Wheeee!!
This was taken at Esplanade in Victor Harbour and if you look really hard, we were actually the only ones on the whole ferris wheel! I believe we
went round more than 10 times, which I am not complaining. I love the view and the day was nice too so I got to have a bird's eye view of the surroundings. |
