Some memories of Adelaide, South Australia....

Bedford Park
I was playing around with the scanner in Flinders University library and
came out with this one. A picture of me and Shawn in the living room. This
picture was taken in the early weeks on my arrival in Adelaide, in late
February 1999. Hartini and I officially moved into our place in
Bedford Park on 14th February 1999. I really love the place we are staying in as it is very cosy and homely.
Will put up more pictures of the flat soon, patience please :) |
Still in Bedford Park and this is a recent one, taken in July 2000. I had re-organised my room (not much space and things anyway!) and decided to create this montage, a collection of photos of places I went to this year and the company of friends I had. Actually the montage looked kind of lop-sided. I have made it looked better now, but I will stick this picture on.
This is my study area and also my internet session area, because I IRC once a week to get in touch with my family and friends back home.

Port Adelaide
This was taken somewhere in middle April 2000. The day was a beautiful one.
My friend and I took a bus to the city and later a train to Port Adelaide.
A quiet place, rather, but the view is beautiful and relaxing. No hustle
bustle of the city (if I can say that!) and not many people there too!
The tugboat is real and it moves, but I did not get on board. It reminded
me of Popeye's boat hehehe. I went to the Port Adelaide Maritime Museum and
there, they showed different types of boats, replicas of them, I mean.
They all looked really good. There was a lighthouse nearby which could
give the view of the open sea, but unfortunately, I did not get to go up
there as it was closed. Should have checked the closing time!! I would love
to go up the lighthouse before I leave Adelaide. |
Sturt Campus
Camilia visited me just recently, from June 5th to 12th 2000. It was school
holidays in Singapore and having her over was something I looked forward
to. Unfortunately, we did not get to go to many places together as I had my exams
coming. But we sure did went shopping, or rather I went window-shopping
with her while she did the shoppings. This picture was taken in Sturt Campus
in my university. These huge rocks can be found near Sturt's DeCafe.
Me and Camilia, we also did get to see some sight-seeings in North Terrace, which I personally
find much more pleasant and prettier, when compared to South Terrace or in Rundle Mall, where in the latter, there are loads
of shoppings to do. |
more pictures to come soon...hopefully!! |
