I saw a commercial slide copier on the web somewhere and it didn't look like much so I built one myself. You need a Digital Camera or Video Camera that will focus down to about an inch in Macro Mode. Once you get it focused on a slide then you don't have to focus it anymore. I just slid the slide holder up and down until I got it focused and then glued it in place. You can use a backlight or natural light which work's best for me. I copied all my old slides which were originally taken with a Topcon Uni 35MM SLR camera I bought in Thailand in 1968 while stationed there.
