My MARTIN search is not very far along. I know that James Monroe Alexander (Alec) MARTIN was born in 1868 in AR. His parents were Alsey MARTIN and Artemissa SUTTERFIELD or possibly BREWER. He married Mary Ann WATKINS in 1894. She was born in 1877 in AR, her father, Bud WATKINS was born in IL and her mother, Jane BARNES, was born in AR. She had a brother named Johnny WATKINS, also known as Uncle Josh to family. James and Mary raised their family in Judsonia, AR.

Peter Nicholas BASKEY was born in Alsace-Lorraine, France as Pierre BASQUET. He was born in 1840 and immagrated to the US when he was 3. He changed his name to BASKEY when his neighbors couldn't pronounce his name correctly, he didn't like being called Mr. Basket. He had 3 wives that I know of: Elizabeth (last name unknown), Elizabeth UNDERWOOD, and Elizabeth "Letha" TILLERY. Peter made his home in Poplar Bluff, MO. Peter had 3 children by his 1st wife, Bernard, Peter and Genevieve. By Letha, he had John, Anna, Ruth Patricia, Don, Bernard, Rachel and Jessie Clausen.

Letha TILLERY'S parents were William and Piety Temperance (VICK) TILLERY. They were in Pope County, IL in 1860. Before that they were listed in the Livingston County, KY 1850 census. William and Piety were marrried in 1841. Piety's parents were Arthur and Nancy (REESE) VICK

Ruth Patricia BASKEY married John Esselman BARHAM dated unknown. They resided in O'Kean, AR. John was the son of Charles Arthur and Alice (maiden name unknown) BARHAM. John was born on December 23, 1879. I don't have any dates on his parents.
