Worth R and Mary C Maxwell Peyatt

Worth Ray 'Mut' Peyatt was born December 26, 1899, in Ohio to Grant 'Clarence' and Margaret Lore Peyatt. He died October 24, 1985, in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. He was married c1929 to Mary Cecil Maxwell McConahe who was born June 7, 1902, in Byesville, Guernsey County, Ohio, to ? Maxwell and ? Hale and died January 17, 1995, Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio.

Mary had a daughter, Vera M McConahe who was born c1927 in Ohio.

Worth and Mary had five children. The first child died at birth on the night of November 5, 1930, on the day of the Sunday Creek Coal Company mine #6 disaster in which Worth's 24 and 23-year-old brothers, William and Thomas were killed. One cannot imagine the anquish that this family must have suffered on that day - to lose two young men and an innocent baby in one fell swoop. Worth and Mary went on to have four more children whom are still living today [June 2004].
