Riveroak J and Anna H ? Piatt

Riveroak John 'Oaks' Piatt was born in February of 1842 in (probably Boone County,) Kentucky to Abram Sanders Piatt and Hannah Anna Piatt . He married c1865 Anna H ? who was born in August 1846 in Ireland (or Kentucky) and who died in Laurel, Indiana, on July 8, 1917. Riveroak was still living at the time of Anna's death. Anna is buried in the Piatt Cemetery.

By the 1900 census Riveroak and family were in LaGrange Precinct, Brevard County, Florida: THE DAILY EXAMINER Bellefontaine, Ohio, July 11, 1917. FUNERAL WEDNESDAY , OF MRS ANNA H PIATT, Was Conducted by Rev Father Welch, Burial in Piatt Cemetery. (West Liberty Banner, July 11) Mrs Anna H Piatt, wife of R J (Oak) Piatt, died at Laurel, Ind, Sunday, July 8, 1917, at the age of 72 years, after an extended illness. The deceased resided here with her family for many years, and was well known by many of our readers, who will sincerely regret to learn of her death. She is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters. They are Abram and Rivers Piatt at home; Edwin Piatt and Mrs John Roony, residing in the Northwest; Mrs William Gray, Portsmouth, Ohio; Mrs Bessie Lersch, New York City. The remains were accompanied here Tuesday evening by the family, and taken to the William Piatt home, east of West Liberty, where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The service will be in charge of Rev Father Welch, of Bellefontaine. Burial will be made in the Piatt Cemetery
