James and Rosanna Kearns Pyott
James Pyott was born about 1742 in Upper Darby Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania (now Delaware County, PA) to John and Deborah ?Brunson Pyott and died there in 1825. He married on December 27, 1772, at Old Swede's Church [or Christ's Church] in Philadelphia, Philadelphi County, Pennsylvania, Rosanna "Rose" Kearnes.
The children of James and Rosanna were:
- Elizabeth Pyott
- Mary Pyott
- James Pyott
- Richard Pyott
- Alexander Pyott
- Abram Pyott
James apparently purchased some land in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, where he operated an ordinary (ie. a tavern) called the Black Horse Tavern or Inn.
