Isaac and Bethia Wilson Hildebrand

Isaac Pyeatt was born c1839 to Isaac and Nancy Pyeatt Hildebrand and died before January 7, 1867. He was married December 6, 1857, in Jefferson County, MO, to Bethia Wilson who was the daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Wilson. I was first given the name 'mathias' Wilson for Bethia, which must have been taken from a marriage license or census.

Isaac and Bethia had the following children:

  • Aquilla Hildebrand b: c1856 (named after Bethia's brother Aquilla Wilson who is the gr-gr-grandfather of Beth Wilson's husband)
  • Samuel Hildebrand (named after Bethia's father)
  • Nancy Anne (or R) Hildebrand b: c1862

On February 19, 1859, Isaac and Bethia Helterbrand and Bethia's mother, Rebecca Wilson, sell Samuel Wilson's land to D. Pitzer.

The family has not been located on the 1860 census. Does anyone have an abstract of them - probably in Jefferson County, MO?

On January 7, 1867, Aquilla Wilson, Bethia's brother, is appointed guardian of Aquilla, Samuel and Nancy R. Helterbrand according to Jefferson County File #714. This was typically done when the father has died. Bearing out this scenario is a record in St Louis County archive records vol L RDSL8 307 Isaac Hildebrand d: 14 April 1865 pg 74 Holy Ghost.

By the 1870 census, Samuel and Annie are in Big River Township, Jefferson County, Missouri and Aquilla is living with his uncle Aquilla Wilson. By 1880 Bethia has disappeared and Samuel and Aquilla are living with the John McKay family. There is a Nancy A. 'Wilson' in the same household, might be a mistake - this could be the sister Nancy A Hildebrand. And, there is a Nancy Hilterbrand, a servant in the Thomas Horine family.
