Ganum M McDowell was the son of William and
Jane Collins Robinson McDowell and was born in Alabama
(probably Marshall County) January 26, 1851. He died January 19,
1907 and is buried in the Macedonia Cemetery in Ripley County,
Missouri. He was married first to Sarah J Webb on April
5, 1874 in Ripley County, MO, but she died (probably between 1883 and 1885) and
is buried in the Macedonia Cemetery on a common headstone with Ganum, though it has no
dates on her side of the stone. Ganum then married second on January 24, 1886, in Ripley County, MO,
to Amy Jane Lassen. Amy was born June 25, 1868 to Emil and (Rebecca) Jane
Lassen and died July 11, 1915 and was a member of the Macedonia Church until her death.
