FAMILY
John Stanek was born in
Austria, May 10,
1835. He
was a butcher, saloon owner, and a farmer.
John married Frantiska Franék, who was 20 years younger than him. Frantiska was born in Austria. They had 8 children and they were all born in Austria.
The Stanek family came to the USA through the immigration center in New York City, NY on October 15, 1882, on the S.S. ELBE, ship. They spent one year at Rochester, NY, then moved to Omaha, Nebraska where John found work in a packing plant at North Bend, Nebraska.
The Stanek family (all except Fannie, who was married) moved to the Indian territory of Pawnee County, Oklahoma, sometime after 1892. John bought a farm 10 miles northwest of Pawnee, where he lived until he died, June 15, 1921 at the age of 86. John Stanek was buried in Omaha, Nebraska. Frantiska, died 07 March 1919, and she too, is buried in Omaha, Nebraska.

1. Franceská "Fannie" Stanek: Born October 5, 1867, in Brno- County of Trebic, State of Austria. Fannie was promised by her father to an older man. When the time came for her to marry, she refused and locked herself in her room. She loved a poor butcher boy, whom she later married. Married Frank Sedlacek September 20, 1889. Son of John and Katrina (Fayfrosy) Sedlacek. Fannie became an American Citizen at the age of 70, on July 6, 1938. She was 4'11" in her 70's. Died March 16, 1965, at the age of 97, of old age in her home. Fannie is buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa OK, Greenland Section Lot 74, Grave 5. She moved to Tecumseh, OK in 1955. She moved with her family to North Bend,
Nebraska, where her dad found work in a
packing plant. When Caroline was 26 years
old, she met and married on 15 May 1899, in
Pawnee, OK, Anton Hlavacheck, he was
27 years old. Anton was b. in 1872, d. 20
June 1948. They lived in EagleTwp., Pawnee
CO, OK. Both are buried at Highland cemetery in Pawnee, OK. They had 9 Children;

The parents of Anton and Franco (Frank): John Sedlacek and Katrina Fayfrosy, born and died in Austria.
(1) Anton Sedlacek and his wife were the first to come to the USA. They came to the states in the early 1880's, and settled in Omaha, Nebraska. Later, Anton's younger brother Franco, came to join him.

Franco (Frank) K Sedlacek, born 13 November 1860, Ervhnor, Austria. Died 05 Oct. 1928 in Avant, Oklahoma of Hypertension Myocarditis & Acute Dilatation of heart (a stroke) at the age of 67 yrs. 11 mos, and 22 days. Buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Lot 74, Greenland Section, Undertaker Gordon Barnes. Tulsa, Oklahoma Franco became a naturalized citizen in 1884. Franco (Frank) came to America in the early 1880's.
Worked in a packing plant in Omaha, Nebraska and North Bend, Nebraska. He met Fannie Stanek, and were married September 20, 1889, in Omaha, Nebraska, where they met each other after coming to the USA. They were of Catholic Faith. Fannie is the d/o John and Frantiska (Franek) Stanek.
Frank's brother Anton, had gone to Oklahoma with his family. Fannie's parents had also moved to Pawnee, Oklahoma. Frank went to Oklahoma by himself and later sent for Fannie and the children.
Fannie came to Red Rock, Oklahoma on a train, bringing Bertha 5 years, Agnes 3-1/2 years and Lidge 2 years. Stella was born a month later. Fannie was met at the train, March 4, 1895 and was taken to Pawnee by covered wagon. Stella was born near Pawnee.
For a while the family lived in a partial
dugout. They
lived on a farm near Pawnee until 1916.
Frank's family
moved to a farm near Syrmna Community, near
Huntsville,
Arkansas
in Madison County, in covered wagon. After
10 years,
Frank's health was
failing in 1926. The oldest son Lidge
moved
Frank, Fannie and 2 of the youngest
children,
Daisy 14 years
and Glady's 12 years, to Avant, Osage
County,
Oklahoma. Frank at that time had already
had a stroke and was in a wheel chair when he
came to OK.
They lived in Omaha, NE, Pawnee, OK, in 1918 moved to Huntsville, AR for 12 years and Avant, OK where Frank died. Fannie also moved to Tecumseh, OK in 1955. Frank and Fannie had 11
children.

WWII. He was sounded in Okinawa and received the Purple Heart. He bought a fram on Kings River in Berryville, Carroll CO, AR when he returned home from the war. He has lived there since.
Paul was a carpenter
and a master plumber. He owned his own
plumbing company "McLoud Plumbing" for many
years in Berryville.
12 April 1945, the worst disaster to hit in Madison County History. A tornado occured the day President Franklin Roosevelt died. The tornado crossed the county from Crosses to Marble AR on a Thurs. evening. 10 people were killed. Buildings, business property, schools, churches, farm land and homes were destroyed. Farm animals were killed and many people were injured. The tornado came from Reed's Creek over Big Sandy Mountain and down Big Onion Branch, before reaching King's River and Marble. The tornado turned NE up a hollow and on towards Dry Fork and Metalton. A small building occupied by Elsie was partially destroyed, but she was away from home at the time the tornado struck. 5 Children,

Virginia grew up in the Alabam Community and went to school in Alabam, AR with her brothers Burl, Paul and sister Rosalie during the WW II years. She moved to Tulsa, OK and worked at Mcdonald Douglas Aircraft as a riveter. After she married and moved to Fayetteville, AR she worked at the Bates Elementary School in the lunch room. She later became manager at Fayettville High School where she was working until her untimely death of breast cancer.
Dellman was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving as a machinist’s mate first class, and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. Member of the Arkansas Trappers Association, and a 39 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He worked for Royal Typewriter Co, the US Postal Service and He retired in 1987 as a construction superintendent of James Constuction Company.

Her freshman year she had to stay in town with Donna and Hill Everett (her school teacher), because there were no buses. She baby-sat and cleaned house for the to pay for her board. The next year she was able to stay home, the bus stop was about 2 miles away so she walked to the bus top every morning and evening. In 1945 after graduating, she took a teachers course and got her teaching certificate and taught schhol in 1945-1945 at the Crossroads school. She worked for many years in a garment factory in Bentonville, AR. When it closed she worked for Walmart, where she retired. At the age of 70, she was still working at an Elemetary school in the lunchroom. 4 children
