Late news for Oct. 2000 -
Yellville-Summit 2nd graders visited our department again in October for Fire Prevention Week. Hot dogs , chips , ice cream and punch were enjoyed by all. This annual event at the fire department is a community acitivity that everyone enjoys.
Annual First Responder " Spaghetti Supper " will be Saturday , Oct 6 this year. Hours are 5 - 7 P.M.
All you care to eat with large salad bar, drinks and dessert. We are trying to get a band to play this year.
We will have lots of door prizes. If you are in our neighborhood come on out and join in the fun. Hope to see you there.
Members of NAFRA ( North Arkansas First Responsder Association ) are organizing their first annual conference to be held on Sat . Sept. 29. This will be an all day training seminar with CEU's given for hours.
Classes on triage , CISD, scene size-up, CPR up-date, communications and obstetrics are scheduled at this time.
Venders are being invited to attend for demonstration and sales.
Registration cost of $30.00 will include lunch and refreshments.
NAFRA consists of First Responders from Marion and Baxter counties at the present time. First Responders and Fire fighters from any department in Arkansas and southern Missiouri will be invited to attend.
