Powers: Kulak possessed tremendous magical abilities, most of which required use of his third eye to work. He could grow to gigantic proportions, summon dead soldiers from Brztal, and knew the spell Whispering Death which could foment hate and violence throughout a planet.

History: Kulak was a high priest on the planet Brztal in who destroyed numerous other worlds and wrecked many civilizations. Thousands of years ago he was sent to Earth and imprisoned there in a tomb. 

<1940s> An archaeologist accidentally freed him from his tomb and he tried to destroy Earth, but was beaten by the Spectre.

Kulak gained magical control over the Spectre and defeated Dr. Fate I, taking away Fate's helmet. Kulak used the helmet to cast a spell, but the spirit of Nabu the Wise inside the helmet cast the spell back at Kulak, and the villain was banished to another dimension.

(JSA #54) - Kulak escaped imprisonment and teamed with the Warlord of Ys in hopes of destroying their sworn enemeies the JLA and JSA. They foolishly ruined the JLA and JSA’s Thanksgiving meal at JSA hq, then realized just how outnumbered they were. Kulak and the Warlock were ready to leave, but couldn’t get out and were easily defeated by the heroes.
