This is to Vel, one of my nicest friends on WebTv.
We have been friends for about 3 years,
as she has been to alot of you.
It is so sad to make this page for it's reason,
but I wanted to show her
in the small way it is...
that we, her friends are keeping Vel and her family
in our prayers.
"Lord, we ask that you give
her strength through this
and bring her back to us
when she is ready."

I have also ask Unk
to write a Eulogy,and it is below.

I was asked to write about Our Friend Vel's Husband Ray.
Well,I never had the pleasure of meeting the Man who we all knew affectionately as "Sweetie".
I will give it my Best shot.

      Vel always had her Family first and Sweetie was always at the top of her list.
I know that Vel and her addiction for the web, had her up to the early hours of the morning.
When Sweetie woke each morning, he would greet her with a cup of tea.

He was a kind man, a hard working man, a Father, a Lover but most of all, Vel's Best Friend.
Vel always when E-Mailing and mentioning Sweetie, her words seem to Smile and you would know, He was her man.
The Pride in the words she wrote were of a Man she shared her Life with for 45 years.
I would venture to say, the Happiest 45 years of her Life.

        When we exchange Our Wedding Vows, we always say, "Until Death Do Us Part"
mere Words, but now those Words take on the Reality of their meaning.
Vel I know that I have not captured the True Man, as You have known.
Let me say, and its with Tears in my eyes,
Thanks for sharing,"Sweetie" with all of us.

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

(Ps 34.18)

As you look upon me laying here,
as if I was in a deep sleep.
I want you to remember me for who I was
and not to weep.

I know my sickness and pain are still on my face.
But be happy for me,
for now I am full of God's Grace.

I know I'll miss you
as much as you will miss me.
But be happy for me,
for now I am with Thee.

God's purpose for me on Earth is done.
Now I am in the arms of his precious Son.
That wonderful person who died on the cross.
That same person who finds us when we are lost.

Remember precious Friends as I lie here,
Don't Weep!
I am now with the Lord,

I once read a prayer to ask God for what I need,
My thoughts immediately turned to greed,
What do I need was a taunt,
My mind kept saying what do I want?
The flesh is full of craving,
The spirit is full of raving,
I need the grace of God in my life,
To guide me through these days of strife,
Each day as time goes by,
My need for God will not go awry.

The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.

He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.

Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

To my dearest family, some things I's like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven.
Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness;
Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through.
God picked me up and hugged me and He said,
"I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on.

There's so much that we have to do,
to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....
in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'r.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help sombody who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night......
"My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented....
that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up,
as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street
and you've got Me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go....
from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going....
you're coming here to Me.
"Perhaps my time seems all to brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free."

I am sending you Angels to watch over you
in your time of sorrow.
I wanted to be with you and help you through this,
but being miles away I couldn't.
I know they will embrace you and keep you under their wings
in the days to follow.

Love & Hugs, Pokey

In this difficult time...
You are in my prayers and thoughts.
May God's loving hand touch you and give you
strength and comfort through the days ahead.
Just remember you are very much loved my friend.

Today's Promise From The Bible

Psalm 6:9
The LORD hath heard my supplication;
the LORD will receive my prayer.

Ever are the Lord's ears aroused
to hear the pleas of His people.
He is faithful to hear your cry
and to answer your prayer.
Take joy in the lovingkindness
of the Lord and give glory
to His mighty name even as
He answers your pleas with
peace and comfort.
