4-21-99 Hello! You know my name by now and I wanted to write a little about myself. I am just "plain old me"and an everyday person.

I have a few hobbies and I have mentioned them on my first page. Gardening is my favorite. As a matter of fact,I have to get my tomato plants in the ground today. I have lots of vegetables planted, and a garden is a way of getting exercise, sunshine, and stress-relief!

I was born and raised a Texan, but have spent most of my adult life in Arkansas. I love the mountains and lakes most in "The Natural State."

I have only 1 child and she will be 21 in July. I have raised her mostly as a single mom, and she didn't turn out half bad! Her name is Angie, and I have a page dedicated to her. I have many nieces and nephews and I always try to give them all attention too.

I am a Pisces and just turned 47 in March. Dang it! I am getting old.(Thought I would stay young forever) Oh well, if you live long enough, you will get old. That is a "sure thing." "S"

I was raised by my parents together. Neither drank, Mom smoked. He was red Irish, she was about half Cherokee Indian.

My Mom had 11 children. I was number 7. Mary, Bobbie Jean, Bennie, Harold, Roy, Katherine, Barbara, Betty, Sherlyn and Shaylon, and Juanita.

My Dad worked at an Army Ammunition Plant, Mom was Housewife. He died in 1969 at 60 years old, and she died in 1983 at 68 years old. I miss them both.

It was nice talking to you people and I do hope you sign my Guestbook. "Web Hugs" Barb.

(5-15-99 Update) Finally got"finished"with my Homepage, and I don't think you ever get through...I am always thinking of things to add.

But I have had a chance to get some garden work done too. So far, we have had just the right amount of rain for it to really take off!

(9-15-99) I just wanted to say that my garden did very well. Got lots of good vegetables and am still picking okra.

Time has seemed to fly by! Here it is almost Thanksgiving '99. Been online now 9 months and I am still Web Addicted!

I finished my garden up a few months back,my daughter turned 21, I joined a Newsgroup: News:Alt.Discuss.Weemba and was Queen of the group in October! That was alot of fun!!

Now, I am just kicked back and trying to update my Homepage. It has been awhile since I worked on it.

6-14-2000 Just a quick note to say I am still Web-addicted! "S"

11-6-2001 Looks like it has been awhile since I have been here. Sorry about that. The last year has been a very "trying" time for me. I am about to get it all ironed out though. I got sick the last part of last year, and ended up spending from Dec. 2000 until March 2001 in the Hospital. I think you all know I am Bipolar and usually don't have alot of problems with it. But I got under alot of Stress.

I have recently joined a new NewsGroup and enjoying it very much. I am the 1st. "Chick of the Month" in there. That is an Honor.:-) I have also been writing alot of new Poems lately and will try to get them in my Homepage soon.

I am still a single Mom. My daughter is now 23 years old, and I still pay alot of attention to my nieces and nephews or try to if I have time. I have also been doing some drawing and painting. AND I AM ALSO STILL WEB-ADDICTED!!! LOL My next project is to learn to make pretty Banners. I can make plain ones, but...

Okay, thanks for listening and I am going to go through my Homepage and add some things on.

Have a nice day! Barb.

April 2002.
Just wanted to let you know that I have just finished
updating my HP.

This happenned to
One of My Sister's (Katherine) and I in August 2001

I have to tell you something that is REALLY funny to me. Day before yesterday, I was texturing the ceiling in that bedroom I painted.
I was standing in a chair...when all of a sudden I lost my balance and fell.
I had No Clue as to where all of this LARD of mine was going to land. I had left the bed in the room, and covered it with old sheets, and I landed right square in the middle of it,
bounced about half-way up to the ceiling...and it knocked my breath out of me for a minute. I had to lay there to get it back, but felt very lucky.
My sister Kathy, wasn't so lucky. That night she and I were back at it again...painting.
She was trimming in the ceiling, and had a can of paint in one hand and a brush in the other. She was standing on a desk and it has rollers on the chair.
When she got ready to get down, she stepped off onto the chair and it took off with her !!
She only weighs about 120 lbs. She fell from the chair, onto the bed, bounced from the bed to the floor and hit her head on a nightstand.
As soon as she landed, she hollered, "I've got the paint!"
She had not spilled a drop of it out of the
can or gotten any on anything with the brush
either. She had both arms staight up in the
air, laying on the floor. I was ROTFLMAOPMP !!!!
Still am when I think about it. She had to
take tylenol for a headache and go to bed.
Q. Would a ladder have been safer?¿!!!!
