Below you will find a description of all the variations of hang tags (also known as swing tags):

A single tag in the shape of a full heart. This tag appeared on the early beanie babies.
Second Generation Tag (1994-1995)

Third Generation Tag (1995-1996)
Same as 2nd generation tag except the lettering is fatter.
Fourth Generation Tag (1996-1997)
Same at the 3rd generation tag with 5 changes: A poem, a birthday, a yellow star, no black outline on the word Ty, and Ty's website address.
Fifth Generation Tag (1998 - current)
Same as the 4th generation tag with the following changes: The interior type style and inside the star is new; birthdate is spelled out; the Style # has been omitted.
