The following numbers are provided to assist you in obtaining help for vulnerable persons who may be in abusive situations. By calling the appropriate state number, you will be connected to the programs which can help; or, you will be further assisted to identify the local number for assistance. The column headed "Domestic Elder Abuse" is the number to call if the person you are concerned about lives in the community in his/her own home or apartment. The column headed "Institutional" is the number to call if the person you are concerned about lives in an institutional setting such as a nursing home. If the state you want to contact has no number accessible to out-of-state-callers, please contact the ELDERCARE LOCATOR - 1 (800) 677-1116.
