Tell what is it, is it fame?
The pressure from success alone?
Let me drudge in your footsteps
so I can taste this despair,
which I need to dream and dare.
Lend me your inspiration I can tame.
Don't let yourself go out in vain.
I read of 7 deaths in your name,
is this what the future is to claim?
--- Thanks to Christian for the wonderful poem. He wrote it a couple of
weeks after Kurt's death.
I know you from so far away, we are the same in such a way, to make me feel this burning pain, I may already be insane
I miss you like you cannot know, you never knew I loved you so, I wish someday that we should meet, convert the salt to something sweet
The way you were and used to be, you felt with such sincerity, your past could let you know us well, and shortly draw me from my hell
I'm not like all the other ones, poseurs who thought that it was cool, to love you because we did too, one more reason to love you more, all you did that I adore
Your life was done and it was fun, did what you were supposed to do, give us someone to look up to
What you did I'll never blame, I wont ever give you shame, I'll try not to hate your fame, all of you in me remains
I miss you like you cannot know, you never knew I loved you so, it makes me feel this burning pain, enough to drive me soon insane
I know you from so far away, we are the same in many ways, I know that very soon we'll meet, convert the salt to something sweet

TRAPPED INSIDE, NO WAY OUT,
WE ALL HEARD KURT, SCREAM & SHOUT,
AS HE STATED, IN HIS SONGS,
BRIGHT SIDE SUICIDE,CREATED WRONGS,
CAUSE IT WAS WRONG FOR HIM TO GO,
IF HE WANTED TO JUST END THE SHOW,
WE WOULD OF BEEN HAPPIER, IF HE RETIRED,
INSTEAD WE HEARD THE GUN HE FIRED,
ONE THING HE SAID, WE NEVER WILL SAY,
ITS BETTER TO BURN OUT, AND NOT FADE AWAY...

I just learned of your suicide
I couldn't comprehend it
I thought they had lied
We don't understand
You could've just quit
Instead of putting us
Through all this shit
I'll never understand
Why you decided to go
I just had to tell you
Just let you know
Just let you see
That we'll never let go
Of your legacy.......Goodbye Kurt

The immaturity of ignorant people:
A long time ago, back when Nirvana was just a fledgling band, there wasn't much to worry about. They were just a couple of guys with talent at that and a razor sharp voice, which still cuts through people's hearts today.
Till they got a record deal -- Bleach. It was a great record with a metalic ring, but Kurt knew where he wanted to go.
Soon they were out on tour, and only then did Kurt show his first "suicidal" tendency..
which brings me to the point of this story...
Please stop judging him because he did drugs. Please, everyone out there, hold
some compassion for him. He DID do drugs -- he never denied it -- but for a long while he had quit. He WAS clean, and he may have seemed like a druggie because of his appearance..but imagine the last time you didn't eat for a couple of days.... and remember the last time you couldn't hold more than a little food down? How do you think you looked? Do you think that Kurt looked the same? My point exactly...Anyways, back to my point...The point is that a lot of people are saying that he was a drugged-out musician who only did it for the money..WRONG!! He didn't care for the money at all. He was only doing it because he wanted people to hear his music and enjoy it as much as he did..He never wanted any money out of it..and as far as drugs go, get over it!! He did drugs for a while, but he wasn't a total druggie....and as for his "suicide"? Well, I have an opininon on that. My opinion is that he didn't do it. He couldn't have shot himself..He was high on heroin. He didn't even inject into himself which was TOO much to begin with. He already would have died thanks to whoever did shoot him up with heroin, but but to shoot himself with a gun and heroin just doesn't add up to the people who actually think about it...Too much heroin is a bad thing..please, I know this is a lot of rambling, but I just wanted to clear up things in myself and with others..I feel that Kurt's killer needs to be justiced...I don't think that any of his lyrics meant more than a joke most of the time..Like "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die." That song Kurt even said himself was "nothing more than a joke, that we had to take it off at the last moment. I knew no one would get the joke." (said Kurt to himself). So what I'm saying is give Kurt a chance. He was a human like you and me. Every human has flaws..Thank you.
