Sabbath... ***** ***** ***** ***** StarGazzing: I sit in the night eyes gazing into the skies, A silent sigh as the tears of time fill my eyes. Bittersweet memories of lost times claim my thoughts, The heartache of misplaced feelings that were once sought. A million twinkling lights shine down upon me, But there is only one that i still wish to see. I look and i wonder if this is really all right, as i lay back on the ground gazing into the night. To look for the star that has taken my heart, My feelings tell me yes, It has been from the start. I've seeked for this star from the first time i saw, the way it moved across a night sky in the fall. Was the brightest sight in the sky that night, And my feelings told me, in time it would be right. Now i lay here and watch after a year has gone by, And watch for the one which has remained in my eyes. Stargazzing thru the skies far after eleven, for a simple light starchassing through the heavens. as i seek for my lifes quest, the star i do see, And as it shines bright in the night, it's there for me. With a smile on my face i rise to my feet, I hold out my hands to the star thats so sweet. As the star passes by my heart starts to slow, And i wonder inside does this star really know. The feelings i hold their baried deep within me, Or does it drift through the night, as if not to see. Gazing in the night chassing a star, I wonder in my heart, Just where you are. Sabbath...2/24/99
