Doug Tate's Story

Doug Tate's Story

I want to tell a story of someone dear to me. On March 28th 1997 Douglas Lee Tate 18 yrs. old was in the passenger side of a car, that was being driven by a 15 year old girl. They were driveing 55mph around a posted 15 mph left hand curve, on SR 665 in Grove City Ohio. They crashed into the guard rail at about 10:30 pm. Doug was brought to Grant medical Center via helicopter where he later died on Easter Sunday. the 15 year old girl was also taken to Grant also but she was discharged with barely any injuries.
The main reason why I wanted to make this page was to try to talk to people about what happened and to prevent it from happening again. Please if you have a car don't let other people or friends drive it if they don't have a lisence. they don't have one for a reason, they may not have taken the test yet, they may not be old enough, they may be suspended or what ever the reason they don't have one. When someone thinks that they can drive but don't have any experience people can get hurt .It may be them it may be you it may be any person on the road with you. please don't let this happen to you or your friends or family!
IN LOVING MEMORY
DOUGLAS LEE TATE
