# 55 MLB Jackson Wenberg .

We had a chance to catch up with often outspoken MLB Jackson Wenberg of the Waco Marshals and asked his thoughts on the teams in the MLF and here is what he said.

Milwaukee Panthers - Wow do I really have to talk about them ? beside being from a terrible city they are really one of the crappiest teams I have ever had the displeasure of stepping on the field with, the only good thing about Milwaukee is that their fans are always drunk and probably don't even notice how bad their team is.

Denver Altitude - Didn't I already cover the Duds ?, all you have to do is check the boxscore of our week 2 match up , nothings changed Scratcherd is still soft and they are overrated.

Birmingham Bettas - Hmm what can I say about the Birmingham Masta Bettas ? well they beat us whoppity doo and are 3 and 0 , Damn is everyone in Alabama related and toothless ? I can't wait to get them again I'd love to get my hands on that little Jay Boucher, I'm almost sure he is sweet on me.

Wichita Generals - OVERRATED !!! with or withot Muleturd they suck. Oooo their defense is so tough they shut out Las Vegas and Atlanta, who hasn't ?

Edmonton Skullsmasher - Damn I hate Canaduh, do we really have to go there and isn't the Skullsmasher the name of a film starring that hac Andrew "Dice" Clay ? oh wait the movie was "Brainsmaher" ahh whats the difference ? they both suck.

Atlanta Aftershock - I can't beleive the are actually in this league, maybe they should just pack it up and go semi pro.

Tampa SunDogs - If it wasn't for the fact that damn near the entire retired population in Tampa is half dead they might notice just how much the SuckDogs stink.

Motreal Concordes - How lucky are we to be blessed with 2 teams from Canaduh, To be honest with you I can't wait until we play them and their sorry 2 play offense, maybe by the time we go against the grapes they will have learned another play, don't blame them though blame Canada.

Las Vegas Wolfpack- Not much of a football team in Vegas good thing they have the Casinos.

Baton Rouge Battlecats- "By the Power of Greyskull" We'll have no problem whooping up on the Battlecats and if He-Man wants to show his sorry @$#@$ we'll give him a beating as well.

Michigan Defenders - I'm just gald we don't have to there and play them, do you know why they call them the Michigan Defenders and not the Detroit Defenders ? no one with half an ounce of a brain would defend Detroit, I've seen 8 Mile I know what I'm talking about.

D'oh ! Parrish sounds off.

Altitude Press Week 2 Preview -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The season's begun, and we're already at a huge game in the Prarie Division. Three of the top five teams in the MLF Power Rankings reside in the Prarie and two of them square off in the Mile High City as the Waco Marshals come to town. After a 38-16 drubbing of a horrible Milwaukee team last week, Waco's riding high and setting thier sights on Altitude QB, Brian Scatcherd. Denver on the other hand escaped week 1 with a slim 16-7 win over the Tampa Tide. Defense was the name of the game as the only Tide score came on a fluke touchdown on a punt return. "I haven't seen that many missed holding calls in one play in my 40 years of football," screamed Coach Dan Reeves of the Altitude. "Hill is a good enough player, he doesn't need any extra help." The gameplan this week with Waco? "Hit em. Hit em in the jaw; Hit em in the back; Hit em every play all day long," LB Homer Parrish said, fired up like Ben Wagner during prom. "That fool Simon won't get away with a 12/13 game against us. We're gonna make his momma feel sorry for breast feeding him when this game is done. Why? Because that is gonna suck more against us than he did with her. Milwaukee couldn't get to him, but I guarantee he'll be on his back this week." Offensively Denver is still finding its rhythm. "We've got the talent around us to do what we want," said Scatcherd. "Its just a matter of what we want to do week to week." Starting FB Coleman Arntz had this to say about that Marshal Defense. "Waco gave up 5.5 yards per carry last week? Right...and they want to compete here? Give a break man. Someone tell them the ATF had better luck getting Koresh out of his compound than they'll do against us." Parrish finished up the interview with one more thing to say to Mr. Simon. "Run for your life #$%#. I'm on my way!"

After bieng shown the article above QB Billy Simon was akesd about Homer Parrish's comments and being a target of the Denver defense. "Who ? who is Homer Parrish ? I'm not trying to be funny I just never heard of the guy, this is the 1st I've heard or seen of this article and I don't really get mixed up in this sort of thing, my guess is he felt he had to make a comment to try and push off some of what Jackson Wenberg had said earlier, which is his right to do so but I do agree with what Jackson said , Denver is highly overrated and I'm not sure why they were and why they are rated so high , up until our win in week 1 we wern't even mentioned, maybe after we beat Denver this week people will jump off the Altitude band wagon. As far as being targeted ...it really dosen't phase me he can say what he wants but the bottom line is he'll have to back it up on Sunday and honestly I'm really looking forward to seeing this Homer...whatever his name is , on the field"

No Love for Denver.

# 55 MLB Jackson Wenberg putting the Whammy on Panthers RB Howard Taft vows to punish Denver QB Brian Scatcherd.

After defeating the Milwaukee Panthers in the Marshals home opener MLB Jackson Wenberg was asked his thoughts on the Marshals chances of winning in their upcoming game in Denver against the Altitude. "Denver ? Denver who ? the Altitduds the team who had the most preseason hype, so far I'm not impressed with anything the Altitduds have done in the preseason or in the 1st week of the regular season, all that preseason hype comes unwarrented , one of the best teams in the league please and that Brian Scatcherd is the best QB in the league, by who's standards ? honestly we wouldn't let him do our laundry , he's soft his play is soft in fact the whole Altitdud's team is soft the only thing hard aboout Scatcherd is pronouncing his name, I for one am not going out just to hit Scatcherd I'm going ou there to punish him and any of the Altitduds, in fact the only positive thing I have to say about Denver is that its a good thing they have that arrow on their helmet so that when I'm done pounding on Scatcherd he'll be pointed in the right direction. Its time for the Altitduds and the rest of the MLF to learn the same thing the Pnathers learned in week 1 , The Marshals are coming and we don't play nice !!!!"

Marshals headcoach Major Applewhite.

The Waco Marshals announced that the headcoach for the upcoming 2005 MLF season will be none other than University of Texas Longhorns fan favorite Major Applewhite making him the youngest porfessional headcoach.

Major Applewhite's Bio Along with his 22-8 record as a starter at Texas, Applewhite set school records for passing yards (8,353), TD passes (60), total offense (8,059), completions (611) and attempts (1,065) from 1998-2001. The Longhorns team captain in 2001 and 2001 Holiday Bowl Offensive MVP, Applewhite was the Big 12 co-Offensive Player of the Year in 1999 and earned league freshman of the year honors in 1998. A native of Baton Rouge, La., Applewhite threw for 50 TDs (and rushed for eight more) against just nine interceptions in two years as a starter at Catholic High School. He was tabbed an honorable mention prep All-American by USA Today after leading Catholic High to a 13-1 record and No. 10 national ranking as a senior. Applewhite was 25-2 as a prep starter. Applewhite completed his University of Texas degree in sport management in December of 2002. He remained very active as a graduate assistant coach at Texas, assisting the offensive coaching staff and helps break down game film. Until receiving a phone call from Marshals new owner Bil Wenberg offering him the headcoaching job for the Marshals that he happily accepted. "hiring Major Applewhite as the headcoach as many may think is not a ploy to fill Waco seast with fannies , being a fan favorite of Texas football fans I can see why some may think thats the reeason I hired him but the bottomline is he is a very smart young man with a great knowledge of the game and look forward to his many new ideas" said Waco owner Bill Wenberg at a press conference last week.
