GABA Kidzania booth opens to mixed reviews
Quality-focused kids get chance to experience realistic teaching environment
TOKYO, Japan (GTA) -- Five-year old Natsuki is visiting Kidzania, the popular replica of adult society designed just for kids, for the first time.
By giving kids a chance to learn work and the value of money, Kidzania is able to attract thousands of kids each day. According to the Gaba Kidzania booth pamphlet, "Gaba Kidzania is a highly-innovative, quality-minded, pro-innovation-based environment in which kids can accomplish their most audacious Eikaiwa dreams."
However, for Natsuki, its a chance to grow while having fun with fellow kindergartners.
"Mom, mom. I have basic computer and typing skills! MOM! LOOK! I'm in a professional and stylish learning studio!"
"At first Natsuki was a little nervous," explained his mother Kayoko. "But then the next time I turned around he was asking all sorts of things, like 'What is your hobby?' and 'Who is your favorite actor?' He looked so cute in his little black suit using the little computer. Before I knew it, he was typing in some stuff into the computer and telling his client to have a nice day."
gMama! Look! I got a 5 star-rating in professionalism! I got 5 stars!h
There was some concerns from the group of kindergartners about the Gaba pay system at Kidzania.
"After forty minutes at the Gaba Kidzania booth, they only game me five frigginfKidzania dollars?hgrumbled 4-year old Kenta. gIs that right? Didn't they say anywhere from 5 up to 40? How the hell do you get 40? Do they realize that the Pizza La Kidzania booth is paying more? Plus you get to eat the pizza."
