Pint-sized eikaiwa student found guilty in malicious death of teacher

SAITAMA, Japan (GTA) -- Five-year old Yoshi Tanaka of Saitama prefecture was found guilty of involuntary homicide caused by a series of kancho, or "thumb-attacks" to the buttocks.

The victim, twenty-four-year old Jason Breckensale of Vancouver, Canada, was pronounced dead last September 12th as result of "severe trauma to the rectum," according to the final coroner's report.

Tanaka will be sent to a Sendai juvenile facility until he turns 18-years old. However, young Yogisha remained defiant throughout the court proceedings up until the sentencing. As the judge spoke, the defendant brashly shouted out the words "unko!" and "chinpoko!" before laughing himself silly.

Prosecutors produced evidence of FMR (fecal matter residue) found on the suspects thumbs to get a conviction.

"We feel justice has been served in this case," the lead prosecuting attorney said speaking to reporters. "We want this case to set an example that there is nothing funny about cramming your little thumbs up someone's buttocks."

Cold-blooded killing

The most-chilling testimony during the trial came the coroner.

"It was pretty much execution style. This poor teacher's rectum was just about the worst I've ever see. By chance, have you ever taken the bun off of a McDonald's hamburger and looked at the patty? What happened to this poor Canadian boy's rear is unforgivable."

He added, "Not only is there signs of cramming, but also obvious twisting as well."

Friends remembered Jason as a caring, optimistic person who was enthusiastic about teaching English and loved surfing.

Tanaka will be elgible for release when he becomes 18.
