Teacher blows student away with historical knowledge, keen insight
TOKYO, Japan (GTA) - Harvard history major, Clark Duncan, may have made a lasting impression on 2nd-year Waseda student, Yuki Tanizawa.
"I thought it was interesting that Yuki said that his favorite class at Waseda was history," Clark stated.
After asking what specific history class Yuki enjoyed, Clark was able to discover it was just a "survey" history class.
"Must have been some survey class. I believe it was somewhere between lunch and recess," Clark quipped between lesson breaks in the lavatory.
Topics in history have given Clark and Mr. Tanizawa a common issue in which Clark has been able to successfully build upon. At one point, Clark brought up the subject of the economies in the early American colonies. Work Japan Teach in Japan Nova Gaba Eikaiwa newsTeacher regurgitates Gordon Wood in GTS3.
As Clark explained in during GTS 3 lesson 2, "See, my contention has always been that that prior to the Revolutionary War, the economic modalities, especially in the southern colonies, could most aptly be characterized as agrarian, pre-capitalist."
"Clark is a really good teacher and he has interesting things to talk about. I hope to have his lesson again," Yuki said in an interview with the GTA.
Clark later wowed a middle-aged woman with his surprising Japanese skills that same day.
