Teacher asking anyone who may remember his business idea to come forward

TOKYO, Japan (GTA) -- Veteran Eikaiwa teacher Russell Clevedon is asking for help if anyone can help recall a recent business proposal allegedly conceived while in The Hub in Ikebukuro last Friday night.

"People would remember the idea," Clevedon claimed. "It was that good. I'm asking anyone who may have been in the bar to please call me at 090-2932-1018 if you have any information. I'm asking as an English teacher to please do the right thing. This may be my ticket out of here, now."

Clevedon described the idea starting with "c" or, quite possibly, a "t."

Clevedon's long-time Gaba co-workers have tried to help, but to no avail.

"Russell? Russell's ideas are basically limited to 2 or 3 things," Scott Gocan, a former co-worker of Clevedon, explained. "He's been in Japan for 4 years and every April he says something about how he should make a pitch to Louis Vuitton to sell 'luxury surgical masks.' You know the masks that people wear when they don't want to spread germs or catch a cold? He says that at least 1 million luxury masks would be sold. Then, every year, I ask him why Louis Vuitton would ever want their product associated with keeping snot emissions under control and he suddenly becomes quiet."

"Let's see. He talked about how we should start a club; like an all Eikaiwa host club, or something. Instead of paying 9,000 yen per lesson, a student could pay 50,000 for Eikaiwa and some champagne. That sounded good, until we realized we'd really be doing the same job--only with more yelling. Or he may have been talking about his 'Jyosei Nomi Train Club' again. Apparently, he thinks that it would be a good idea to start a club in Shinjuku where men could pay money to enter a fantasy 'women only' train coach for 40 minutes. In this train, I guess you'd be allowed to do all sorts of stuff," Gocan explained, pausing a moment to allow the image to sink in.

"I don't know. Maybe he's on to something there. That was not such a bad idea if we had the money and some connections."
