Born
in Toronto, Scott Arnold has had an extensive performing and
teaching career. At a very young age, he laid the foundation
for his music education on the piano and the guitar, continuing
at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, studyingperformance with
Jeffrey McFadden and Theory and Composition with Pierre Gallant.
Later, he studied with Norbert Kraft and participated in and
observed many masterclasses with such notable teachers as Ricardo
Cobo, Adam Holzman and John Holmquist.
Mr.
Arnold's solo performing career extends across Canada and into
the U.S. and includes being featured on Canadian radio. Scott
also regularily involves himself in small emsembles including
duets with voice, flute and guitar. As a teacher for the past
8 years at The New Conservatory of Music and as a private instructor
in Toronto, and currently at The Nanaimo Conservatory, Scott
has become a notable instructor, developing an abundance of fine
young talent. Scott enjoys playing his 1968 Taurus built in Barcelona,
Spain which he bought in Toronto.
