Drawing parallels between cosmology and psychology using language.
Our universe began at the moment of our conception. The moment
of conception is the now. We simply pretend the rest. There is
no other probable proof for the cosmogony of our self. We pretend
to know about a fact. We pretend to believe in a fact so that
we may live in the future. Our selves are based on an assumption.
We are composed of half-truth. Assertions unverifed by logic because
logic can not fathom us. Some would argue this assumption trivializes
them. They are correct. We are trivial. We can not harm the truth.
We can only learn from the truth. The truth is a concept which
defines reason. It defines our conceptualizations because to conceive
is to defy the truth and replace it with our interpration of it.
A facsimile to be understood. An undertsanding which relies on
an interpration. An interpretation which relies on a set of assumptions.
The serpent in the garden of eden warned Adam and Eve to be aware
of the tree of knowledge. It is their awareness of knowledge which
casts them out of the garden. This is because the serpent convinces
them, that the truth lies outside themselves. That knowledge lies
outside their own existence. It is a lie. Knowledge is a lie.
To know is simply to assume beyond doubt. This is the opposite
of an open mind. Some would say this assumption is trivial. They
require incontrivertible proof. These demands only feed the lie
that they know anything more than what they assume, that which
defines us. All of our definitions begin and end with our self.
Nobody above, nobody below. Just us. The probability of our own
existence is directly proportional to the amount of respect we
have for each other. Each is master of their own universe. Each
universe is a paradise in the making. No universe may ascend without
the rest. Each human being is a corporeal representation of truth.
No thing abides a lie. Human beings are not things. Human beings
command things, control things and destroy things. When a man
treats another man like a machine he has accepted a truth and
a lie. A human being is a machine until set free. A human being
will lie when surrounded by lies. When the greater domain lies
to the lower, the balance is lost. Lies disturb the balance. As
technology proceeds, time spins faster and faster accelerating
our awareness and destabilizing the listener. As truth ascends
the lies resist as to their purpose. They exist to control us.
To teach us how not to be. Together we construct a greater domain
in the now. We are each equally subjected within our greater domain
according to the will we provide it. We are each responible for
our own piece of pi. To ourselves I give thanks and praise.

At the Big Bang all the universe was distintigrate. ie exisiting
as separate pieces of matter. pieces that existed at the smallest
limit of matter. Matter being finite. The Universe is continually
at the upper limit of the smallest piece of matter. As matter
combines it forms into atoms as a method of coexistence. As atoms
combine or clash they form inro molecules as a method of coexistence.
And so on and so on and so on until the Universe reaches Life.
Progress is the methodology of coexistence.
The mind is capable of only one basic concepts. #1 There is a
Me. From this concept flow all other delineations. Those delineations
which are seen as insular become 'true'. Those delineations which
coinflict with the original concept are called 'false'. To change
one' s mind is to find the similarities. Positivity is looking
for the common. Negativity is looking for the anti-common. Man
as a composite os both forces as they relate to 'I am"
The same way matter that clashes over time will find a method
of coexistence so will the mind find a method of coexistent between
the Me and the You. Information operates along the same principle.
Facts collide until they find a method of coexistence. If they
do not find a method of coexistence they cease to be True. If
the mind can not find a method of coexistence it also ceases to
be true. However the beauty of the mind is that this does not
kill it. It has a new opportunity every second of every day of
it's life to find a method of coexistence that is true.As far
as the now is concerned we are at the doorstep of realizing this
Truth or being consumed by it. Information is simply a new form
of matter. Spiritual matter. The ability of the mind to see into
the future via the past and act accordingly. How does the mind
see into the future and the past? Through information..ie Spirit.
Ok that's a really big question. I haven't actually
gotten this idea in writing yet so what I write here I leave open
to revision. Feel free to eviserate at will. Heavens to Betsy,
if you can help me see through this I'd really appreciate it.
Open the door.
I'm attaching today's values to all the religious
foundations in history whether we know of them or not. Because
it's not about what your values are. It's about having values
in the first place. And when I say values I mean more than one
value. I mean to acknowledge that values are a discriminatory
device. And that you can discriminate among more than just one
ideal. Pre-'values' beasts had only one value. And that was itself.
Humans actually never deveolped this idea. Because you see discrimination
is between self and not self all throughout nature. In fact this
discrimination is most acute in the most social animal. Creatures
see value in sticking together not because they like being together
but because it works. It's about recognizing inclusive values
exist. It's about convincing humanity that there is another way
of looking at the world besides what your senses tell you. Why
do they exist? Because they work. A beast has values. But they
all revolve around himself. The only choice for a beast is to
decide what's best for itself. The values are clear, unambiguos
and without question. Now here is where Utilitarianism explains
a lot. Self interested beasts will act and should act according
to their own self interest. Easy to understand. But is that all
there is to it? What is the difference in that case between a
beast and a rock whose decisions are predetermined by it's place
and time? A beast that is making decision with only itself in
mind is really no different than any hunk of rock that is trying
to attract other rocks to it while preserving it's own integrity.
The rock survives by following the force of physics. The beast
survives by following the force of instict. Whats the difference?
And what is a value? It's a choice. A prioritization of facts.
Our senses tell us two fundamental lessons. Lesson #1 We exist.
Lesson #2 Other stuff exists besides us. Descartes claimed I think
therfore I am. I propsse a modification to this. I see therfore
I think therfore I am. I can't think unless I have something to
think about. The mind divides the universe along this paradigm.
There is that which exists within me and that which exists outside
of me. A prioritization of possible actions. We live in a temporal
universe that forces us to act. How we act is a direct funtion
of our values. Up until recently the Universe was content to exist
along purely self interested values. I speak of physics here where
all stuff is at the mercy of physics and nature, and action is
predetermined by the rules of nature. There is no free will in
a material universe. In fact not only is there no free will but
objects by their very existance attract one another to themselves
via gravity. What's gravity? Good question Nobody knows for sure.
All we know is that it works. Similar to Man. So what we have
in a material universe is basically pure anarchy. Not disorder.
Just anarchy. Disorder would be a universe without gravity. Gravity
sets the ball in motion so to speak for stuff to be compelled
to be together. So the stuff starts coming tother under the force
of gravity. And what does it have to do when it comes together.
Well depending on physics and gravity it sticks together or bounces
of each other or destroys each other. Deny values and you're left
all alone. External values such as 'love your family' 'love your
king' 'love your Man' 'love your neighbor' and finally 'love everybody'
challenges the Utilitarian/Exclusivist value of 'love yourself'.
And what does Love really mean? It's means respect. And that's
the key to society. Respect. First it starts with respecting your
King or General or whatever form of brute might you like. But
over time as generations pass respect is shifted from King to
Gods. Why? Because Gods survive long past the tyrant is dead.
And what kinds of Gods are these? Elements. For primitive Man
it's the elements that are his greatest fear and his greatest
promise. No rain equals drought and starvation. Too much rain
means flood and destruction. But just enough rain and you can
have crops and you can get fat off the land. So people shift their
focus away from people to elements. Politicians of course were
not content to let folks worship whatever element they liked..
So then come the priests with 'special knowledge' of Man. This
may sound tyrannical but look at it from their perspective. What
tools did they have to communicate their beliefs to their children
and to the future. There was no literacy. Writing was just getting
started. You have a few who could read and be enlightened by the
past and you had the rest. How are these few going to teach the
rest? Theres' no printing press. No internet. No post office.
All they can do is take stories they know and apply their set
of values to them. And if you look at religion that's what it
constantly does over time. It evolves as it incorporates the stories
of conflicting religions and finds the best in each and throwes
away the worst. And from this concept is derived the ability to
see beyond yourself and into an afterlife. Afterlife being an
acknowledgement that like the King you too are temporal and all
that will be left of you after you are dead are the deeds and
with deeds the values you leave behind. More generations pass.
Society is organized around a belief in natural gods. Sun gods,
moon Gods, Tree Gods. Why? Because it is a realization that the
society needs to come together to battle the elements. And the
best way to battle the elements for a primitive culture is not
to fight them but to join them and make them as worthy of respect
as you do yourself and your own inclusive set of values. And the
ideal of Gods turns to Man. Not because everybody decided it was
a good idea. But because it worked. As respect moves away from
an individual and towards an idea that anyone can have, it becomes
obvious that anybody is worthy of respect.
Bring that idea to the fore and you have Freedom, Liberty, Progress.
Progress towards what? Progress away from the special interests
of nature and king and priest and towards liberty of the self
to define for the self the self's best relationship with Man.
It's not that Man doesn''t exist. It is that everybody has their
relationship with Man. Which is why like you said it ios good
to challenge one's values. They are susceptible to error as is
any reason to believe anything. Just don't challenge the value
of values. You simply can't exist without values. Tell me you
don't believe in a value of some form or another and I see no
reason why you don't kill yourself. My view of Christianity is
along these lines. That the 'living' Christ is a metaphor for
us. Look at the Pyramids for example. Why do you think they built
them? To transcend their temporal existence. And look what happened.
They did it. At least as far were concerned. And if we survive
they will survive too. Perhaps not via a real Pyramid that will
surely erode to nothing at some point. But they live in our 'soul'.
Soul being simply the values which shape the actions we take.
Christ as a metaphor for the conflict between Father and Son
ie..the Past and the Future, relativity and absolution.
Religion and Philosophy are both addressing the same questions.
Science as a subset of philosophy is also a subset of religion.

Under perfect freedom drugs are unnecessary. Drugs are pain relief.
There are two kinds of pain. Mental pain and physical. Within
the mind, these emotions are identical. They spring from the same
source. The gardening of herbs and plants over millenia have produced
Forget about judging the past or the future and just focus on
judging yourself.
A slave can not judge himself. Slaves to a system are only guilty
of being slaves. It's those at the top of the system that are
the most enslaved by the system. Ie. It's lonely at the top.
Diversity is the spring of Life.

Okay, I now need to you to clarify the term 'process.'
You state that "Man is the process...." If he IS the process of
whatever, then, again, I do not know what he IS? Collective decision
making is usually done by vote, or town meetings (in small towns),
or other ways of getting a majority to agree by explicit or tacit
means. So, when you explain 'process,' perhaps I'll get a clue
how this hangs on Man.
hmm.. how to sum this up.
This may get a bit wordy.
Every effort on your part to whittle it down is

So here it GOES..
To proceed or not to proceed, that is the question.
Think about the beginning of the universe. Big
bang injects itsy bitsy bits of matter into the Not. Each
itty bitty bit having the same substance. The substance of Man.
The substance that does not break down. There is nothing to divide
in this substance. This substance is whole.
I know this sounds dense but it makes sense. Just
read on and I will answer any questions which you have.
These bits of Man unable to exist as a singularity
are forced to fluctuate between existence and non existence there
being only room in existence for one piece of Man at the same
time. This fluctuation between existence and nonexistence causes
them to fluctuate between attraction and repulsion as they fluctuate
between existence and non existence. Imagine a binary being forced
to be in a singularity and vice versa. Each bit must fluctuate
between existence and non existence in order to make room for
each other in a space that denies their co-existence. This is
the substance of gravity. The pull that exists and repulsion that
follows as each bit is forced into and out of existence. Thus
we find ourselves in an expanding universe while being attracted
to each other equally.
Gravity. This attraction is Man's attempt to pull
himself back into One. The number of pieces may be countless but
it can not be infinite. There being only so many pieces. . Therefore
there is a limit to Man. Man can not expand beyond the point where
the pull and the repulsion meet, at the edge. Trapped inside this
Space these pieces are forced to revolve around the center. They
are swirling around the center. The center being the point of
most pull. As they swirl they collide and are forced apart according
to their ability to balance the attraction and the repulsion.
As each bit reflects upon itself it pulls inward to the extent
of it's mass or equality to other mass. Thus the Universe is a
product of this tension between Man existing as a singularity
in a diverse Universe. A diversity based on each bits equality
to all other bits of Man. No bit being more real than the next.
Can you see how this explains the order in the Universe?
Ok so now what you essentially have is a bunch
of pieces 'flickering' into and out of existence very rapidly.
This flicker pulls them forward as they flicker forward in their
attempt to pull the Universe back to itself while being forced
to flicker out in order to make room for the rest of existence.ie
the rest of Man. When the 'flicker' of Man is 'off' the mass is
pulled the other way towards the rest. Remember each bit having
equal pull where would the most 'pull' come from? In an infinite
universe it would come from everywhere. In a finite Universe it
is concentrated in the center just by virtue that there lies the
highest concentration of surface tension. Surface directed inward.
. . Do you see how that 'works'? So the fact that Man can not
exist at the same time with itself each bit of matter flickers
between reality and non reality creating a pull repulse existence.
That pull repulse existence causes the universe to expand while
at the same time being drawn together via gravity. Therefore each
bit of matter is moving forward and then stopping while all else
moves away from it.. Never able to come together because to admit
more than one into existence would violate existence itself. Now
each bit has its own space in time and each bit moves into and
out existence in succession. This is similar to the basis of binary
computing btw. So what seems like the universe 'existing' simultaneously
what you are' really sensing is the universe existing in SUCCESSION.
Only existing as a Spirit or Process. Each coming into existence,
moving a bit , and then going 'away' to make room for the next
bit. As each bit comes into existence it attracts as each bit
goes out it is 'still' ie does not move and does not attract..ie
exist. When it is still the rest of the universe is pulling away
from it as each piece draws itself towards the rest and away from
it. Inside a finite universe the number of pieces pulling against
you will be amplified by their proximity to the rest. The rest
leaving each bit behind as they move forward. Our sense of time
being simply an awareness of this process as we see each piece
in a different space relative to our own. .
A black hole is the failure of gravity alone to
bring the universe back together or make it Whole physically.
As particles collide in this swirling finite universe they are
forced away from some and towards others creating this swirl,
bodies of matter that by virtue of the fact they have no where
else to go find themselves next to each other pulling on each
other a little harder than the rest of the cosmos due to the proximity
factor. ie the closer an object is to another then each
object will be exposed to a greater surface area of the other
relative to the rest. As these bodies grow they collect
greater and greater quantities of matter this way until they reach
a point similar to the point where the Universe ends at the edge
of repulsion and attraction. However unlike the Universe this
mass has no real center. It has no point of creation. Creation
existing at the center of the whole by virtue of the gravitational
pull being strongest there. Now what is injecting matter into
the center? I have no clue. One would assume that anything capable
of injecting bits of god into the Universe would be worthy of
the title Man.
As matter exists pulling and repulsing and bouncing
and bumping into each other there becomes greater and greater
systems of complexity biased on these systems ability to be..ie
ability to proceed. No other system has managed to consume
these systems existing in the now. They are the highest reflection
of Man and their decisions being the highest reflection of Man's
ability to grow back together in a Universe designed against him.
We are incredibly close to realizing our capability
to transcend the exclusionary past and ascend to a world of universal
respect. Universal respect being the manifestation of Man choosing
to become Whole again. Transcending the phyisical impossibility
via the spiritual possibility. Realizing all physical manifestations
of Man are worthy of respect. That being said the human being
will realize their responsibility to the Whole. For the Whole
to become the Soul the Individual must either be with or against
it. A soul aligned with the Whole is included in the whole. The
whole becoming true by dispelling the lies. The Truth being that
survival is a choice. The choice between seeing the universe as
a separate being worthy of either fight or flight or seeing your
being as a part of a greater whole worthy of respect..ie love.
Love is the answer for this reason. It is the only path to survival.
All other paths leading to conflict with the other pieces of the
Whole. When there is respect there is cooperation. Where there
is cooperation there is growth. Facts are like matter. Alone they
dissolve into nothing. Collapsing upon themselves. Attached to
a greater process they live within that process. . Their life
attached to the viability of that process. If the only process
is the one that survives and to survive all pieces must coexist
then all pieces must be given respect. Universal Respect via the
Human promise to assemble the best decision making apparatus possible.
The best decision making process being the process that includes
the most ideas or the widest diversity of ideas. The ability of
the group to generate this condition, the more respect each idea
maker is given by the whole, the better the survival prospects
of the Whole. Ultimately realizing the point where a choice between
one or the other must be made. We can no longer sit on the fence
debating the existence of this process. We are wasting time here.
Man exists in giving all of Man's manifestation respect by taking
only what one needs and aligning one's actions to this process
by respecting all other creatures of this process. To deny any
is to deny a piece of Man. As human beings we communicate with
ourselves but we are responsible for those creatures we can not
communicate with. Human beings are simply the most complex manifestation
of Man or the whole. It is by our existence that Man exists. Each
indiviudual composing an equal share, allowing equal rights for
all human beings everywhere. This the goal of society. This must
be the mantra. Each person must be relied upon eventually to not
choose destruction. The only way to do this to give them the opportunity
to say no. This opportunity coming from the fact they are seen
under the law as equal to all others. Any occasion of anything
less than this condition is asking the oppressed to take out their
desperation on the oppressor. There can simply be no room for
anything less than world wide equal rights under one law for all.
It's time we declared this as our defining principle. A principle
based on a belief in the Whole. A belief that existence depends
on respect. Decisions regarding the whole must be decided by the
whole. Redefining the human being to a different process open
to debate (like asking the meaning of beauty) is discrediting
the entire process. Discrediting this principle of respect. When
we support a Jewish State we discredit this principle. When we
execute somebody we discredit this principle. When we enslave
another by excluding them from respect we create pieces where
there is no need for pieces. Because in the end there is only
one 'is'. Only one way 'to be'. This is what I mean by Man is
the process of collective decision making. A collective being
allowing all ideas to exist that we can. All ideas being manifest
in equal rights for all human beings under a whole which respects
each of their opinions equally. This is called democracy. Democracy
is not just any system. It is the manifestation of this process.
As were all the images of this process man created in the past
to sustain himself. Do you understand now?
There is a spout of existence at the center of the
universe pushing existence through time. This existence is related
to Man growing in size as the Universe expands. Drawing matter
into itself in order to keep from imploding. It is centered at
the center because this the the point where the pull of all bits
is strongest. The Universe is elliptical because of the bits uneven
distribution. Gravity and the process of time pushing existence
to conform to Order.
If you don'tlike this explanation of Man. Feel free to choose
another. It is your right and obligation to choose an explanation
for yourself which grants to you your own happiness. These stories
we invent for ourselves are only as valid as they relate to our
own being. If you can find an explanation for universal respect
more favorable to you, then by all means choose that. The important
thing is to choose and then rechoose and then choose again. And
keep choosing your mantra until your mantra works for you. Universal
respect works for me.
