Sega of America

UPDATED: 06.17.07

First off, there is a new page in the info section called, "Thoughts."

Now for the news:

Okay, so I updated myself on all the new Sonic stuff... well, I guess its actually old news now. But come on, I'm a full time student, I mean, I DO have a life ya know. Anyway, my thoughts on the game that I can't play because I'm too poor to buy a new system... they are this:

Game play looks great, really clear and crisp, probably equals to hours of fun. The music sounds pretty cool. I'm big on Sonic music. I'd be willing to get the soundtrack over the game actually.

Shadow: So, I have some mixed feelings about Shadow being in the games now. As much as I love that he's still around, the idea of him just coming back to life annoys me. I REALLY think that the Shadow the Hedgehog game should have taken place in the past, and that Shadow should be dead. It makes him so much cooler, so much more lovable. I don't like that he can't age and can't die. It makes him less anthropomorphic, more cartoon-like. He's better off as a misunderstood, little hedgehog-thing that you can kill, then as some super, ultimate being who just so happens to be a kind-of hedgehog. But as I said before, some one decided that the next generation of Sonic needs to be like a cross between the next generation of Ninja Turtles and Pokemon. To me, it doesn't get any cornier then that.

As lame as it all is, and even after seeing the amazingly dumb cut scenes, I think I'd still be willing to play the new game for the sake of the potentially cool, electronic music, and for the game play. I know how the game ends, and would certainly not expect to be stimulated by the story, which is obviously intended to entertain 10 year-olds.
