Metroid: The next generation (hey, i'm trying to be dramatic here).

This game will appeal to many Nintendo fans as I can see. However, that is becuase most Nintendo fans are in junior-high or are just plain weird. Heres the break down.

Graphics are good, not much to say here. I hate when people talk about graphics for about half a page, they're good or they're not.

Now the audio... to tell you the truth, I really don't give a rats ass about sound. The sound is soundyful. However, the music trys to be dramatic by adding sound effects to it, so when they think its alright to add things like monsters yelling their warcries, I spaz out and go into a WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT frenzy. After spending about 2 minutes of my life trying to figure out whats trying to kill me, I forget it and move on for I have the intention span of a goldfish.

Controls: they suck for an fps. They use a control pad AND a joystick just to control your inventory, so the idea of looking up while moving is completly ignored. Furthermore, the game revolves around this auto aim system, so all you have to do is a press a button and half the work of shooting is already done for you: the aiming. The only other half thats left is having an "A" button click fest (I know you can't click buttons, shutup).

Gameplay: ahh, truely revolutionary. Oh course, that doesn't mean its 100% good. Its more of an adventure than a fps, so I guess you can expect to spend half an hour running around a room looking for a simple thing. The good thing here are the power-ups. Its great to come back to the first worlds with High tech equipment to kick the same monsters asses that owned you while you were a n00b. The bosses are fustrating and slightly challanging and currently I have stopped playing because I can't stand being beat by the same guy more than twice. Thats a rare deal by the way. Moving on, The morph ball is great, and the chick in the armor is the best to ever walk planet Zebes (or whatever the hell its called). Overall: 7.3 / 10
