Get rid of the "Whoaaa...look at what I found, click here" link in AIM profiles

I know this works for Windows 98, and it should work for other versions. As far as I know this eliminates the problem, and the link won't erase your profile every time you sign on.

1. Press Alt+Ctrl+Delete to bring up a list of programs. In Windows 2000/XP/ME you may have to click on something else after pressing AltCtrlDelete to get this list. Once you have the list click on the program "B" (without quotes) and press end task. If you check the program list again the program "B" should not be there.

2. Open "My Computer" from the desktop, then "C:" and then "Windows." Click on the "Show files" to get into the folder.

3. Look for the program "b" or "b.exe" (no quotes). Right-click and say delete.

4. Go to the Start menu. Go to "Run..." Type in "msconfig" (again, no quotes) and press enter.

5. Use the tabs on the top and go to "Startup." Scroll down the list and uncheck "Antivirus." It should say C:\WINDOWS\B.EXE to the right, it is not actually an antivirus program.

6. Click "Apply" then "Ok." Say yes if your computer asks you to restart, because you must restart anyway.

7. When your computer is completely restarted, press Alt+Ctrl+Delete and check to make sure that the program B isn't running. Run AIM. Your profile will probably still have the link, so you must delete it. Once you fix your profile it should stay even when you restart your computer.

This should get rid of the problem, but tell me if it doesn't.
