1-7-03: ButtMonkeys and fans alike will be proud to know that former team captain Tim Cooper has been representing the team even while on vacation in Florida. Last weekend, outside the Teco Arena near Ft. Myers, Tim showed FLA how the ButtMonkeys do it, winning the slapshot competition before the ECHL Everblades game. The winning shot was clocked at 79 mph.

1-6-03: The first game of the new year is started with a bang. The Buttmonkeys had their second win of the season beating the Scorpions 4-3 in overtime. The stand in goalie Pete Defond was a key player in the win. Pete made some really great saves, thanks Pete. The whole team really came together this time out. Some key passes lead to great goals. Good job Buttmonkeys, keep up the good work.

On another note, I must make an apology to #13 and #26 Tim and Anthony. I have been messing up their stats. Hopefully everything will be right after this game.

12-30-02: Tonight Buttmonkeys had a stellar attendance of 10 plus a goalie. Kevin (#8) ended up refing the game. They had wonderful performance for Cooper's (#83)last game. Although defeated 3-7 by the Scorpions, the team showed great spunk. Zima had some really great saves, amazing us all with his cat like reflexes. A schedule was put out tonight, so I hope everyone got one (also posted.)

On another note even with so many players I was able to keep up with plus/minus! Yeah me! The roster will be updated as soon as I know who is and isn't playing. I am just getting used to all the things I need in order to keep the stats updated. So if anything is messed up feel free to tell me and I will see what I can do. Hopefully by the next game I will get everything updated. Sorry guys.

All the guys will miss playing with you Tim! You will be greatly missed. Good luck at school!

12-23-02: A double header! The Buttmonkeys did really well this time around. The first game was a close 6-7 against the Flatliners. 8 players and a late goalie (due to communication problems) made for a sparkling team. The second game rewarded the Monkeys with their first win of the season. Score was 9-6 against the Chiefs. Way to go guys! Keep up the good work!

12-16-02: First game of the season! Unfortunatly it didn't go so well for the Monkeys. Only 4 players plus a goalie showed up. (Not too hard for plus/minus.) Game ended 5-9 Scorpions. Maybe next time guys.

12-1-02: As most of you all know our wonderful team captain, Tim Cooper #83, has been accepted to Syracuse. He will be leaving us in mid January to live his scholarly ways and become an orange ball with legs. We are all proud of you Tim. In the wake of this, the new team captain for the ButtMonkeys will be Garrett Straus #2. The alternate is yet to be chosen.

Tim has also passed on the responsibility of updating the website to me Abby Fay. Most of you know me as the girl that brings the monkey, or Garrett's girlfriend. Please be patient as I am very new at this and still have a lot to learn.

11-14-02: The playoff game has been changed. It will be at 8 o'clock vs the Flatliners.

11-12-02: The ButtMonkeys have made the playoffs! Game # 1 will be 11/18/02 at 7 o'clock. The game will be versus the Scorpions or the Flatliners.

10-15-02: BM's GET WIN #2...... Thanks to the 4 goals of Garrett Straus, the BM's defeated the Flatliners last night, 6-3. The BM's have reached the halfway point of the season, and now have a record of 2-4. The team starts the 2nd half of the season with a double header versus the top 2 teams in the league next week.

10-8-02 : BUTTMONKEYS DROP TO LAST PLACE..... The BM's were defeated by the Chiefs last night, 7-3. Almost halfway thru the season now, the BM's need to change their team play to make the playoffs. With hardworking defense and solid goaltending, the BM's know what they need to work on to chalk up more "W's". The team needs to increase offensive production and decrease penalty minutes in order to be competitive. ........ In other news, the BM's lost free agent Mark Vinarsky as he was signed to the Chiefs. The team wishes him well.

9-30-02 : The ButtMonkeys welcome new skater Frank Forrest and returning goaltender Jim Zima. Zima was instrumental in the defeat of the Broken Wings, the first BM win of the season. Jim stopped 36 out of 39 shots.
