6-27-02, 2:39 P.M....ok, so there's a new story up, and it's one i (yet again) wrote for school. as you may or may not be able to tell, i didn't take the assignment seriously. the assignment was to tell about the time you went to Africa, and you had to name three landforms, three waterforms, and three animals, i think. you also had to tell how you got there. giving me free reign is never a smart thing to do. this is evidence of this. that's all. enjoy. 9-27-01...ok, i suppose you need some bg for this story...the original "Ordeal by Cheque" was a story that ran in...Newsweek, i believe...or maybe Time...i-i remember not...anyways, it was originally just a group of checks (ya know, money checks and such) that was written by...William Crue, i believe...? there was no storyline, other than where the check were written to and the signature on the check...we were handed the two pages that were copied and were told (as many students across the nation have had this assignment, i've discovered) to come up with a story based on the checks. i and dylan came up with a basic story and each wrote half the paper. i got a bit carried away and wrote seven (7) pages of text, while dylan wrote two (2) pages during english. on account of dylan's half being not what i had hoped for(but it still works, i assure you), i will write a different ending...a...'web-exclusive', if you will. i will post my half here, and once i have written an ending, i will create a link to it at the bottom of the page. similarly, once i have obtained a copy of dylan's half, i will also post a link to it. with out further distraction, i present to you, headlEy's version of "Ordeal by Cheque".
