This site has been so dead and un-updated lately, sorry!! As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, I've been working on my RaielxSizer shrine, and guess what - IT'S ACTUALLY FINISHED!! =D Go visit and love please, and if you have anything to donate feel free to send an email my way.

SO! I will get back into updating this site soon. ^_^ I'm thinking about redoing a lot - the navigation/layout/everything about the site is really quite icky. =S I don't like it. I'm also contemplating getting my own website domain, so hey we might be seeing 'symphony9.SOMETHING.com' in the future. Here's to hoping anyway!

This is just something that randomly occurred to me while I was reading some of my Violinist of Hameln doujinshi the other day. While Bass constantly put down mummy and mummy's people while raising Sizer, he never pimped daddy. Not that we saw anyway, and you'd have thought he'd have pimped daddy like he was a...well, a pimp. XD Cause it's one thing to get her to hate the humans and her mother, but you'd think it would have been equally important to inspire loyalty to the mazoku and make her really want to free Chestra. You know? "Sizer, if you find the box and the cross you can release daddy, daddy will make all the bad people and the pain go away, and the two of you will live happily ever after in warmth and love forever and ever, amen."
Seems like the logical thing to me anyway. Cause although she hated humans, with Drum beating the crap out of her at every opportunity and Guitar threatening to kill her only friend, 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' was definitely not the logic Sizer went by.

"Wow Bass-sama, what else will daddy and I do together?"
"Well Sizer, he'll take you out for ice cream and cotton candy!! And then you can go to fairs and ride on the ferris wheel and the merry-go-round, and you and daddy will laugh and laugh and laugh. If you're a really good girl now daddy might let you braid his hair too, because daddy has beautiful hair!"
"Can I put ribbons in it?"
"Any colour you want!"
"And, and will he play horsey with me?"
"Every day!"
"I wish I could play with daddy now!"
"Well Sizer, he's sealed away because of your horrible and mean mummy. ...Do you want to go drop mummy's crystal from airships?"
"YAAAAY!"

(XD Okay, now I'm just being stupid.)

I finally, finally, finally managed to buy the VoH Vocal Collection CD. =D Iv'e had the mp3s for forever, but I've always wanted to own the actual CD and have never been able to find it. But it came up on Yahoo.jp randomly and I just pounced on it. <3 (And have been annoying my family with playing the karaoke version of Kanashimi Yo, Ten Ni Todoke over and over while 'gracing' them with my singing. ^_^; )

Also, if you haven't read this enough, pleeease send me any VoH fanfiction or fanart you have. Seriously. Please?

I haven't updated this site in forever. I really need to get the damn thing finished, since I'm sure most people don't take several months on these things. XD
I have, however, been working on the RaielxSizer shrine. ^_^ That one's actually getting pretty close to completion since there's a lot less to it. I was going to make it a fanlisting...but I don't know how to work the sign up code, so a shrine it shall be. XD

So anyway, I was scanning some great RxS bits from v27 tonight, and it actually occured to me for the first time - I'm slow and I had long gaps in between the sets of manga I bought - that Raiel had never actually seen Kuro Sizer before that volume. Last he'd seen her was as she flew away after Trom stabbed him in v18. Can you imagine recovering while you're injured for a while, then coming back to discover your love slicing the crap out of everything she came across? He heard about what happened to her beforehand of course, but nothing could have prepared him from the horror of actually seeing her there.

Just imagining how bad it would be if I were in Raiel's shoes. Think about it.

XD If it helps make this random shit make more sense, it's almost 1am so I can be excused!!

I shall be receiving the VoH movie either today or tomorrow. =D I know this for a fact since it arrived today at my house (I jump between my home and the unit that I live in so that I don't spent six hours each day going to and from uni) and mum's posting it down to me. =)

Of course, this also means that I'll have another copy of the anime. XD I ordered my anime set and paid for it, and then I saw the anime+movie set come up on Ebay. (Another set went up the next week, but the user is apparently no longer a registered user, so no more movie for anyone else =( )

(I also managed to pick up the three anime OSTs for US$9.99 ^__^!)

Was just wondering how many Raiel/Sizer fans there are out there. If you are, leave a comment here! I'm definitely considering setting up an R/S fanlisting (or at least mini-site) after other stuff is completed and I want to know how many people actually support it. Even slightly. Taaaaalk to meeee! It's not only my favourite VoH pairing, but I also think it's quite possibly my favourite pairing ever! They're absolutely adorable together, seriously. Much love for the later volumes with so many absolutely adorable moments (especially Sizer getting jealous over Fife coming back and stealing Raiel's affections. ^.^ There's a bunch of scans of that section up in page 2 of the manga scans. If you hover your mouse over you should see several ".../SizerJealous.jpg" pics. =3)

So! Point being! Post here if you love the pairing and would be interested in (eventually) joining an R/S fanlisting. And then have a chat about R/S because I could honestly talk about this pairing forever. (Ask Celetina and she'll confirm that I'm not exaggerating. XD)

Sometimes I'm lame. Sometimes I'm funny. I'd like to think this is funny, but I think people might be going with the lame option.

Anywhoozle, this randomly occurred to me the other night: Possessed!Lute/Kuro Sizer. Puppet love! (Instead of puppy love? Get it? Cause they're both puppets. I get it.)

A blog for random VoH rants that you're all free to join in with. ^_^

I've been making a few random - and really badly done - icons from anime screenshots that sort of pay out the anime in their own way. ;P Just as a loving parody, because although I didn't think the anime was anywhere near as good as the manga it was still good.

Anyway, in my mind I can see a really good anime paying out caption for this picture, I just can't think of it. ~_~ So, let's play a game!

As to my thoughts on the anime itself...well, it's definitely good for a watch, but you'll enjoy it a lot more if you're not constantly comparing it to the manga. ^_^; I had that problem at first when they kept taking out all of my favourite character's best bits, but I managed to get over it eventually. It's best to treat it like it's an AU story. =)

Actually I found it more annoying when they were generally following the storyline alright/characters were generally in character and then they changed little details. I was fine when characters were completely OOC from the word go, and when the story entered completely undiscovered waters.

The still frames were very annoying at times, but they lessened towards the end.

Anyway, it was still very interesting when it wasn't inspiring 'wtf??' demands from me, and if you haven't seen it and can find it cheap somewhere, pick it up to see what it's like.

I should be receiving the Hameln movie in a couple of weeks (plus another copy of the anime. ;>_> I ordered my copy beforehand, then actually found the movie for sale with the anime for rather cheap, so I picked it up anyway. I am dieing to see the movie.)

Once I've actually finished Symphony #9 manga-wise I'll create a S9 anime and movie site, which will be filled with lovely screenshots since I discovered that I actually have a program that allows me to take them! =D The Sizer and Guitar one up the top is one of the ones I've taken so far. They're bigger, I just shrunk that to make the quality a lot better and not kill people (like myself) on dial up who didn't know what they were getting into. XD
