The Story

Genjo Sanzo, Son Goku, Cho Hakkai, and Sha Gojyo are the four who journey to the west to stop Gyumaoh who is being resurrected. Sanzo is instructed by the Sanbutsushin who are given orders by the Merciful Goddess [whom's name escapes me at the moment]. Sanzo, being the priest he is, follows these orders, but is concerned with his companions being demons. Although, Goku and Hakkai have power limiters on to keep their demon self under check. Gojyo is only half demon. Kougaiji, Dokugakuji, Yaone, and Lirin are the four who try and stop them by orders of Gyukumen Koushu, who is Kougaiji's step mother. Of course, Kougaiji does not like his step mother, but the only reason why he is helping her is because Gyukumen Koushu had trapped Kougaiji's real mother in a stone pillar. Even though Lirin is Gyukumen's daughter, Kougaiji treats her like his own sister. He always helps her out of trouble when she goes off by herself to battle with the Sanzo ikkou. When Kougaiji ikkou meet up with Sanzo ikkou for the first time [or was it the second?], Kougaiji finds himself face to face with Son Goku. Son Goku taunts Kougaiji into a battle and, of course, Kougaiji falls for it. When the battle is over, it is Kougaiji who wins. Son Goku declairs that he will beat Kougaiji someday. When they meet again in a desert, Kougaiji fights Goku again. This time the Sanzo ikkou's time is limited because Sanzo was poisioned. Goku takes off his power limiter [for the second time] and fights Kougaiji. Of course when Goku takes off his limiter, he can not distinguish foe from ally. Kougaiji gets badly injured in the fight. Dokugakuji comes and saves him before Goku can kill him.
