Kira Yamato- Birth date: May 18, CE 55 Age: 18 Genetic Type: Coordinator Mobile Suit: ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam

Kira was the main character in Gundam SEED, and plays a large role in Gundam SEED Destiny. After the end of the last war, Kira started to live peacefully in the neutral nation of Orb with Lacus Clyne and other friends from the war. When a group of ZAFT terrorists attempt to assassinate Lacus Kira pilots Freedom, and once again is pulled into the war. Kira and the other members of Archangel fight both ZAFT and the Earth Alliance in order to stop them from wiping eachother off the face of the planet (and PLANTs). Kira, like many of the other main characters of Gundam series, refuses to kill unless it is absolutely necessary.

Lacus Clyne- Birth date: February 5, CE 55 Age: 18 Genetic Type: Coordinator Mobile Suit: NA

Lacus was the leader of the Clyne Faction (a.k.a. "Three Ships Alliance") during the battle of Yachin Du in the previous war. She fought so that Naturals and Coordinators could live together in peace. After the war she lived with Kira in Orb with war orphans until the assassination attempt. She is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) propaganda spreaders for peace during the last war. Lacus Clyne is loved by the people of the PLANTs for her ideals and beautiful singing voice.

Athrun Zala - Birth date: October 29, CE 55 Age: 18 Genetic Type: Coordinator Mobile Suit: ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam

Asuran is Kira's childhood best-friend. They were separated by the war and were on oppisite sides until late in the war when they both joined the Clyne Faction. After the war he went to Orb with Cagalli as her body guard. While in Orb he used the pseudonym "Alex Dino," as his real name was very famous. When the Earth Alliance launched nuclear warheads at the PLANTs, he rejoined ZAFT and was given the latest and greatest ZAFT mobile suit, the Savior Gundam, as well as a membership in FAITH, ZAFT's elite soldiers. (FAITH members are signified by the white pin they wear on their uniforms)

Cagalli Yula Atha- Birth date: May 18, CE 55 Age: 18 Genetic Type: Natural Mobile Suit: MBF-02 Strike Rouge

Cagalli is Kira's natural-born twin sister. After her father's (leader of orb) death she becomes the representative (princess) of Orb. She fought alongside the others during the last war and shares the same viewpoint of peace. When the rest of Orb's leaders are corrupted by the Earth Alliance, she fights for Orb to stay neutral. When she is forced to marry Yuuna (purple-haired pansy), another of Orb's leaders, Kira crashes the wedding in Freedom and takes Cagalli to Archangel.

Shinn Asuka - Birth date: CE 57 (exact date unknown) Age: 16 Genetic Type: Coordinator Mobile Suit: ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam, Destiny Gundam

Shinn is the main character of Gundam SEED Destiny. Personally, I really dislike Shinn. He's really a jerk. But he is a very good pilot (not compared to Kira, of course) and like Kira, Lacus, Asuran and Cagalli, Shinn also posesses the ability to enter SEED mode. He lived in Orb during the last war. During the attack of the Earth Alliance on Orb, his family was killed. He still keeps the cellphone that Mayu, his sister, dropped and indirectly saved his life. It is the only thing that he has left of his family, and he often takes it out and listens to her voice-mail message.

Lunamaria Hawke - Birth date: July 26, CE 56 Age: 17 Genetic Type: Coordinator Mobile Suit: ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner Zaku Warrior

Lunamaria is a very competent pilot and therefore one of the elite ZAFT pilots aboard the Minerva. She has a hopeless crush on Athrun. She has a younger sister, Meyrin, who is also aboard the ship and helps operate Minerva.

Rey Za Burrel - Birth date: Unknown Age: Unknown Genetic Type: Coordinator Mobile Suit:ZGMF-1001 Zaku Phantom

Rey is also a great mobile suit pilot. He seems to have some connection with Neo Roanoke, but it is yet to be revealed.

Haine Westenfluss- Birth date: Unknown Age: Unknown Genetic Type: Coordinator Mobile Suit:ZGMF-2000 GOUF Ignited

Haine is one of the elite ZAFT soldiers assigned to FAITH. He has very impressive combat experience as he fought in the last war's Battle of Jachin Due. Piloting the GOUF Ignited, he is a very formidable pilot, along with the others onboard Minerva.
