Chapter 1
Hey! Who're you? I'm Liz… actually, I'm Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Liz. My best friends are Kath and Kelly. They're nice, even if Kelly is somewhat bossy. So anyway, I bet you wanna know why I'm telling you all this. Well, it all started one day when we were forced into joining the Prince Yuki fan club. It's this club made out of a bunch of crazy girls who have a crush on Yuki Sohma. I don't think he's all that cute; he's just a wolf in sheep's clothing!
A/N: A rat in human's clothing is more like it…
So anyway, Kath, Kelly, and I were forced into joining the club and then we were forced into following Yuki all around to find out if he really is living with Tohru Honda, not like we care. That is where my lovely tale begins…
"Do we really have to do this?" Kath asked.
"Katherine! Do you think we could show our faces in school again if we don't find out? Every girl in school is counting on us," Kelly exclaimed.
I said, "Well, I doubt Tohru will be too happy about this."
Kelly groaned, "It's not about right or wrong, it's about being important."
"Yes, ma'am!" I said, not questioning my friend's logic.
Kath said, "Well, we could always just ask her."
Kelly rolled her eyes, "Where's the fun in that?"
I said, "There's lots of fun in everything!"
Kelly shushed us, "Shhh! We need to be quiet so we aren't caught!"
We continued stalking our classmates toward their home in quiet. Kyo was staying away from the other two and Tohru and Yuki were talking. I couldn't quite make out the words. They veered of the sidewalk, onto a different path, most likely to their home. We followed stealthily.
Upon reaching the house, we peered through the window. Yuki, Tohru, Kyo, and another man were talking. I heard a phone ring from inside. The man answered it. He suddenly looked very sad and quietly said something to the other three. They all became very sad. Tohru began to cry. Yuki went to comfort her when…
I'm not really sure what happened. Um, well, first there was there was this light, then a mouse was sitting on Tohru's shoulder. Clothes, I think they were Yuki's, sat at her feet. I stopped breathing. I found myself falling through the window(which did a lot of damage…) and into the room. Kath and Kelly were right behind me. Kath accidentally smashed the little mouse. He… he stopped living…
The man became quite upset and scared. He ran around frantically, and he tripped. He fell into the oven and died. Though this was a sad event, I couldn't help but laugh. Tohru was in shock. She said, "First, Hatori calls saying that Momiji died and now Yuki and Shigure are killed. This is so… odd."
Kyo groaned, "How can I ever beat that dumb rat now!?!?"
Tohru asked him, "Have you ever heard of mourning? It's where you are sad for people dying."
The two of them turned their gaze at us. We tried to slink back, to hide from view, but to no avail. Tohru asked, "Um… excuse me, but what are you doing?"
Kath thought fast, "Um, well… we're with the newspaper and we are doing a story about… um, erm… cool houses, and we were studying the architecture of you poorly designed house when… when it sort of, well, broke…"
Kyo was laughing so hard. Between laughs he said, "That is the most ridiculous story I've ever heard!"
Tohru said, "Wait, don't you go to our school? Are you with the fan girls?"
I got on my knees and begged, "Please don't be mad! They made us spy on you!!!"
Kelly whacked me on the back of my head, "Well, now they know why we're here, you idiot!"
"OW!" I yelped in pain.
Tohru asked, "Do you mind? We're kind of in the middle of something. Could you come back some other time? Please!"
I asked, "What happened?"
"Well…" Tohru said, "First, Hatori called and he said that Momiji got hit by a car and died. Then, you guys fell on Yuki and killed him. Finally, Shigure… fell into an oven and burned to death."
Kelly burst out laughing, "Are you guys cursed with bad luck or something?"
Kyo whispered under his breath, "Not exactly…"
Kath asked, "What?"
Kyo muttered, "Nothing."
Kath requested, "So, um, could we come to the funeral? I would really make us feel better about how we were spying on you when it happened."
Kelly groaned, "I don't wan to go to some stinkin' funeral!"
I said, "Oooh, sounds cool. I wanna go!"
