The Beyblade Network //Let it rip!

That kids custom-build and battle in a Beystadium, was one of the hottest toys in Japan this past year. Beyblade is the original 'high performance battling' top brand and the first line that features tops that can be customized for performance. Each Beyblade top comes unassembled and ready for customization. Hundreds of combinations are possible, each with a distinct battle style. The more tops in a collection, the more combinations can be made. Once built, two Beyblade tops go at it in the arena-like Beystadium. With a pull of the ripcord, the tops are launched into battle at lightening speed. They then collide, chase, avoid and otherwise engage one another in battle; no two battles are ever the same. The last top standing gets the glory.

There are different Beyblade Types:
� Attack Type tops roam freely about stadium, stalking their prey.
� Combination Type tops are steady performers.
� Endurance Type tops are built to outlast an opponent.
� Defense Type tops stay in one place to ward off attacks.

Each Beyblade has four parts to determine how it will do battle in the Beystadium. Kids can mix and match elements from various tops to customize their collection:
� The Attack Ring determines competitive method. (i.e . how aggressive a top will be in battle)
� The Weight Disk determines balance.
� The Spin Gear determines spin direction.
� The Blade Base determines movement patterns throughout the Beystadium.

Different Beystadiums will be available throughout the year. Each Beystadium has its own characteristics. For example, some will have steeper sides than others or a different slope. The kind of stadium chosen for each battle in part determines how successful a particular type of top will fare in battle.
